Dan's birthday project!
Well guys, I want to make a project to celebrate Dan's birthday (which is in 14th of July). I was thinking about make an Alchemy's lyric video. Like, you write something of this song's lyrics on a piece of paper, host the image on the tumblr static, tinypic or imageshack, then you put the link on my askbox. Send me the pics until 9, July, so I can produce the video. Let's make this birthDAN the best ever!!!
"Bad Blood is a really important song for us. It’s the title track of the album because I think it encapsulates the themes and tone of the whole record and it has always been one of our favourite songs to play out live"
Dan explains why "Bad Blood" is the title of the debut album.
Dan was interviewed by Native Monster. "Yeah definitely!” laughs Dan Smith when asked if he’ll be watching this year’s V Festival headliner, Justin Timberlake. “His live show is supposed to be incredible so if we have time to stick around we will definitely check out our first live Justin Timberlake experience. “We played V a couple of years ago as a completely unknown band in the Strongbow tent. It’ll be fun to go back and hopefully play to a few more people this time round. We’re looking forward to V.” The festival hits Weston Park, on the border of Staffordshire and Shropshire, on August 16 and 17 and Bastille will take to stage alongside The Killers, Ed Sheeran and Example. It’s yet another achievement for the band, who have one of the biggest selling albums of the year, Bad Blood, and won Best British Breakthrough at the Brits back in February. So how does such rapid success feel? What it’s like to have a number one album and fans around the globe? “It’s mad,” says 27-year-old Londonder, Dan. “Especially as Bad Blood stayed at number one for two weeks. You know what, it was a really great feeling and not something we expected. With the Brit Awards, it’s such a massively public thing, it gets a lot of attention and as a band we’ve always just got on with our own thing relatively under the radar. We’ve always done alright but we don’t get a huge amount of publicity so it was interesting doing something like the Brits. I think it meant that people who had maybe heard one or two of our songs over the course of last year could finally put some faces to the name and maybe that’s why the album thing happened. Being involved in something like that was pretty surreal and a lot of fun for us. Getting to see people like Arctic Monkeys and Beyoncé play, doing our tune with Rudimental, all of it was pretty weird and awesome. (...)
