For the writing prompts can you do klonnie with au 13, situation 1, and because I can’t pick myself can you choose either 12 or 16 or 19 for the sentence? I’m fine with anything tbh I just need the ANGST (only if you’re ok with writing it of course). Thank you!!
AU’s: 13.Demon x Angel au
Situation: 1.Standing outside in the rain.
Sentence: 19. “Please… Be mine. Let me be yours. Be the love of my life.”
Hey anon! I am liking this combo. Here it goes. Hope you like it.
Bonnie’s wings are spread wide in spite of the onslaught as the rain soaks through their clothes. Klaus watches the drops that make a slow trail and drip from the down of her soft feathers, marveling at the colors that reflect off them under the street light. He lost his when he was cast down. He doesn’t remember the feeling of them, doesn’t remember their lightness and the way they carried him through the air. A thousand years are between his undoing and her becoming and that life, that light, seems so far away from him when they are not close, so very out of reach.
She has come to say goodbye. He is more experienced with goodbyes than she. They were never meant to meet. Never meant to touch. Never meant to speak. Never meant to love. It, to him, is just one sin of many. To her, each time they come together it is a stumble towards damnation.
She wants it to be over. She knows its for the best and yet…yet she stumbles over the words, fumbles and the softness of her voice can barely be heard over the rain. Klaus doesn’t listen. He instead eyes the skin that can be seen through the damp clothing that clings to her small frame. He watches her lick the rain from her lips as she speaks. He reaches out to brush a damp curl spiraling and weighted down by water, from her face and listens as he breath hitches and she pauses.
She’s beautiful, achingly so, the only one up above that he sees fit to be called a divine entity. If he still prayed it would be to her. If he was still made of flesh and not fire. No god could come close, pagan or Christian.
He watches her, watch him. She sees beauty in him as well, though she shouldn’t. In the flames that dance from his fingers even as the rain falls, and in the ashes that he leaves in his wake when he comes and goes. Ashes that he has left glittered across her skin each time they come together, mouths searching and bodies writhing. Surely, God could forgive her this, he too thought the devil beautiful once, and what was light without darkness.
The problem of it was, the closer they became, the more he light dimmed. As much as he craved her light, she craved his darkness and Klaus knew that she was just one sin, one dalliance away from being what he was, from being cast down.
He couldn’t imagine her without her wings. He could picture her without the halo above her head, illuminating the beauty of her face. And yet…yet when she said, “This has to end.” He could only respond, “Please… Be mine. Let me be yours. Be the love of my life.”
When he reached for her hand, she hesitated, but she took. It was selfish and cruel, to bring her into the flames with him, but he needed her and though he was beyond salvation, Bonnie could still be damned.
