Whew, I’m glad to see that Tumblr is still alive. As you might've noticed, I haven’t posted in quite a while (I hope I still remember how to write) but with the decline of Facebook, I think I’ll do my rants and raves here again. You’re welcome :-)
How the Mighty have Fallen
I went by Fry's Electronics today, to get a cable for my tablet, and it was like I walked in to a Circuit City (just before they closed). Yeah, it was pretty sad. The truth is that Frys just outlived its usefulness. It made sense to have those humongous stores when we were transitioning away from CRT televisions & monitors, from VCRs to DVD players, and still buying desktops, all those aisles were needed. However, now that we own the flat-screens and don't use the other gadgets, those stores (unfortunately) aren't needed anymore. Frys is still technically in business, and I hope they survive, but I have to admit that I have doubts. Good luck to you, Frys
I was over at downtown Pleasanton (CA) today and spotted this thing. It's odd how these used to be so ubiquitous; you'd see them everywhere, especially on a busy street. Now this is probably one of the last in the bay area.
I was at Thunder Harley-Davidson dealership in Morgan Hill (CA) today and saw this 2019 Fat Bob S with what looks like a Duc headlamp. I preferred the Fatty they did a while back with one of the new Daymaker headlamp and a Sportster quarter fairing combo, but this looked alright too. They certainly couldn't of made it look any worse than the scuba mask headlamp that comes with it (IMO).

I went to buy socks at Walmart today and had a big surprise when I came out. By the side of the building, next to some bushes, firemen were removing the deceased body of a vagrant. Yup, that will teach me to go to Walmart.
Halloween
Well, this is different - I actually have more than my usual 6 kids knocking on my door on Halloween. I might actually run out of candy. Should I run out and get more or just turn off the lights and hide like my cheapskate neighbors? What would Schrödinger's cat do?

I went to the Auburn Home Show yesterday and finally got to see "tiny houses." Here's a few things I learned: -The average price is $60,000 -It takes about 10 days to build and they will deliver it to you. -The container conversions are the same length -Full size showers were typically used.
This Doesn't Seem like a Better Option
Only in Silicon Valley would 10 Tesla charging stations not be enough. There was at least 6 cars waiting in line.
Last Saturday, I was finally able to see the new 2019 Harley-Davidson Softail “FXDR.” It just arrived the night previous at the dealership in San Jose, CA, which partly explains why there was an actual line to sit on it & take a picture. I have to say that it does look much better in person than in pics and videos.

I've been reading about about the rumored new electric, adventure, naked, 250 & 500cc motorcycles from Harley-Davidson. I'm impressed if the actual products resembles anything like this promo video. I don’t know how competitive or successful these new models will be, but it does show H-D can think bold. Go, MoCo!
