Fry's Factory Bristol by Richard Walker Via Flickr: Fry's Chocolate Factory & Offices in Bristol, Union Street. Built in 1847 it was the first factory in the world to mould a solid chocolate bar for mass consumption. Production was moved to the small town of Keynsham (between Bristol & Bath) in the 1930's This original building was later demolished. The Bristol Odeon Cinema built in 1937 now occupies this site, although the main part of the Odeon building has changed use, it still has a multiscreen unit within the original build space.
