Clarice Lispector, The Hour of the Star
Gustave Doré (French, 1832-1883)
In 1884, Dore produced 26 steel engravings for an illustrated edition of Edgar Allan Poe’s gloomy classic “The Raven.”
Why do I still wait for texts from you ...
listening to music isn’t enough anymore i need to eat it
—damn, not to be dramatic but i kinda wanna die.
i really miss those days back in 1984 when i didn't exist
i would literally be the most inconsistent character in someone’s book. one moment i am happy and hopeful. the next i am sad and despondent. on some days i’m really productive. on others i lie in bed and stare at the ceiling. i am a mess of hastily scribbled notes and unfinished character concepts squashed together into a barely breathing, barely functional person.
“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.”
