tbh I think we should probably get a lot more comfortable outright calling transandrophobic behavior misogynistic when it’s misogynistic, even and especially when it comes from other trans people. And just making it clear that transandrophobia in general is largely rooted in misogyny. I get that it’s been downplayed partially bc it can make us dysphoric, but I think a bigger reason we’ve downplayed it is because it makes other trans people uncomfortable. But maybe their discomfort is not on us to fix or avoid. Why should we have to avoid talking about our reality just because it makes others uncomfortable? People AFAB are usually/often taught from birth to go the extra mile to avoid making others uncomfortable (which is, of course, misogyny). Maybe it would be good for us to stop doing that.
