Iām making a stingray in ceramics now. Iām not in any other art classes, though, so Iāll only be able to update on ceramics.
Still making the sting ray. Iāve missed a lot of school, soā¦ thatās why this is taking so long. Lol.

Making lanterns now. My vase didnāt explode in the kiln, so thatās amazing! šš
This is coming out better than Iād hoped. Finished the cube shape today, now Iām just smoothing it and making the corners a crisp point. This project shouldnāt take as long as the others, that much Iām grateful for.
This project is taking longer than I thought it would. Rn Iām starting to cut out my design and such. Took forever to smooth the sides out into something that I could live with. No perfect, but Iām over that now, lol.
Started piercing today. Should get done sometime in the next couple of days. I have the entire week to do it, soā¦ I feel like I would have gotten farther had he not disappeared, because sometimes he just doesnāt tell me anything and then I overhear that I fucked up from him telling someone else, so I didnāt want to chance it. So I waited for 30 minutes for him to come back and approve it and then walk me through it.
Got one side completely cut out. :) It looks good. Is it obvious itās inspired by Gatsby?
Stayed after for two hours to get it all cut out. There are some broken rods, so Iāll have to soften it and fix em. Other than that I think it looks great. I canāt wait to get a golden glaze on it, my teacher thinks we might have just enough.
Teach fired em. I donāt know when weāre going to glaze them. Hopefully soon. I think it looks really ugly. But apparently that is just me. Sigh.

The recent version. Iām almost done, now Iām starting to think about what I want to exterior design to be. Anyone have any suggestions?
Completed with the coils last week on Thursday, now I just need to finish smoothing it as well as making the top look better. I need to pick a design I want to put on the outside, too. I donāt know what I want to put on the outside, though. Any suggestions?
Iām smoothing it rn. Soā¦ almost done. Lol. I still havenāt figured out a design for it, though. I kinda want to do something engraved, but I just donāt know what. Eh. I need to smooth it first, so I have time.
Now I just need to design it. Lol. I think Iām gonna go for a scale type pattern. I think it would look pretty if I then did an ombrĆ© blue to green glaze over it, too.
