ik I've made my views about raazi very clearly here. but vicky kaushal as iqbal was peak male beauty. and this is comimg from smn who's not really into men with moustache.
arey yaar, i swear meine ek hi cigarette light up ki thi. pura pack pata nahi kaise khatam ho gaya.
have i ever been insecure about my acne? yes but i'm 18. mujhe nahi honge toh 50 saal ke buddhe ko toh nahi honge. have i ever struggled with body image issues? literally my entire teenage life. i struggled with body dysmorphia, bulimia, anorexia, body image issues, my relationship with food and i still do.
there were days where i thought i was fucking pig and big as a fucking whale ( irl i was severally underweight ). upar se I'm 4'10 so even if i'm not fat, i look like it.
but, but, but, never have i ever looked into the mirror and thought i was fugly. not fucking once did i think ki i looked ugly. moral of the story, girls don't let some fucking ed tell you that you're ugly. body dysmorphia vagerah toh hota rahega but ugly? nah nah aisa kabhi mat sochna. maa chudaye ed, par kabhi aisa maat shochna ki you're ugly.
have i ever watched cricket? no. will i plan to watch it in future? ofc no. but here are my two cents as to why their viewership is dropping, from an outsider's perspective.
it's not because the games are one sided, like really good batters and bad bowlers ( as i saw on insta ). it's the fandom. ha har dusre din matches hoti hai which drives people away from the sport but that is the secondary issue.
these fans, like i don't think even using "some" would do justice because there’s so many of these rotten people. these fuckers think that their cricketers are like god. aur yeh cricketers jinke paas multiple managers, best coaches, dietitians, financial advisors, wealth managers hai vo chutiye hai. like these cricketers have everything imaginable, they probably pay a ridiculous amout of tax yet these retards think the wags are "distracting" the cricketers or are "after their money".
mind you the wags in question have their own established careers. idk why these fans feel so maternal over these grown ass man. "arey bhai uska game se kya lena dena???" ha bhai, bilkul lena dena hai. do you know how many sick tweets and headlines i read on avg about a woman receiving death threats, literal rape threats just because a cricket underperformed once.
"teri biwi ko r***i bana ke chodunga agar so-and-so se phir se aisi baat ki."
"kutti teri aukat kya hi hai jo tera pati so-and-so ko aisa bole. tum hare ghar mein ghus ke tujhe uske saamne c**d ke teri g**d phad dunga."
"if god is real then she will die in london today."
literally yeh sab log bol rahe. like the woman could be in an entirely different continent yet the player underperfoming would be the fault of these women. "watch it for the love of the game bro, cricketers ki thodi galti hai yeh." nobody is blaming the cricketers. kal tak Anushka thi, aaj travis head ki wife hai, kal kisi aur ko pakad lenge. so i agree that it's not the cricketers fault.
but bhai kaise dekhe koi. casual misogyny toh chod hi do ( like when you say that you're a fan of cricket as a girl then these guys will ask you to name top 3 players from 19th bc or what happened in idk what and when of 1048 ). like take an example of vriddhi patwa, that influencer jo khud hi edits banati hi shipping herself with Abhishek sharma. she posted a reel from when she was at a match and i think srh didn't do well so people were blaming HER in the comments.
"agli baar mat jana"
"tu kali billi hai isliye srh haar gaye"
"sab teri vajah se hua hai"
like????? are the edits cringe? yes but bhai at the end of the day she's 20, she's just a simple fan who went to see her fav cricketer???? there's so much misogyny and stigma in the cricket fandom in general and the thing is there alot of them like this. to point i am reading all this in headlines. these people have made all these successful women punching bag for their faves not performing well what do you think will happen to us, normal girls??
"oh par wags are irrelevant to the sport, they're not related to the game" toh kyu itna hate comments karte ko? not just wags but even parents, sisters, literally the entire family is attacked for no reason. bhai as girl ( woman toh nahi bolungi kyuki I'm just 18 ) jab misogyny itni deep ho na toh genuinely maan hi nahi karta yeh sport dekhne ke liye. jab tum aurton ko sidha face to face itni ghatiya baatein bolte hai vo safe space kharab ho jata hai aur phir maan nahi karta to learn about a new sport.
even men think, like the chunk who are sane and not like that. they too will be associated with that retarded chunk, even if he's vihaan from sobo with a sobo accent that can rival both kjo and ananya pandey. like hum ladkiyo ko thoda toh doubt hota hai ki what if yeh bhi aisa nikla toh? and no sane person likes being associated with rajesh from bihar who's commenting on Anushka sharma's post "jaa jaake maar ja r***i saali" and lot worse.
this is the main issue. the secondary being the amount of matches. thodi toh haad hoti hai, yeh series khatam toh dusri chalu, yeh khatam toh yeh team ke casual matches, vo khatam toh world cup aur vo bhi khatam toh ipl. like I'm pretty sure I'm missing atleast 5 more formats here.
too much of something is always bad. itne matches hota hai banda enter karein kaise sport? not only that how can you expect one to keep up with 15 diff formats??? hote honge die hard fans but you'll end up driving away alot of fans agar saal mein 400 matches ho toh.
i have a question for the Pakistani folks on this app. a particular dialogue in dhurandhar goes "jisne bhi lyari pe raaj kiya usne karachi pe raaj kiya, aur jisne karachi pe raaj kiya usne pure pakistan pe raaj kiya". is that true? because initially i thought that was made up for the movie like for the glamour and show-sha.
but when you think about it — now, i don't wanna generalize in the entire world — , atleast in south asia it's very well known that criminals and politics go hand in hand. i am guessing that it's these criminals cut votes of oppositions due to their terror amongst public therefore the govt keeps them out of prison. take the very movie for example, rehman's influence helped pap get votes and that's why jameel kept his ass out of prison despite knowing rehman's work.
back to my question, rehman ( the actual one ) was involved in illegal weapon trafficking so it's very likely that he trafficked them to the terrorists of 28/11 making him an equal accomplice. i mean you gotta have kuch toh special that you are being asked to supply arms and ammunations for a fucking terror attack by the intelligence agency of your very own country.
so was that true? like to a small extent or am i just overthinking???
idk the fuck is happening in the dhurandhar fandom but bhai pls bully me into writing a pt.2 for this. ( ofc jab bhi mere exams aa rahe hai tabhi i think it is the right time to write. jk, if you bully me now, I'll probably post it in two weeks ).
i hate it when i ask a girl where her clothes are from and then she says zara. like thankyou mam now we're never gonna find it ever again.
if you were a pre teen girl in 2018-19, you'd know this was peak fashion ( specially if you watched my miss anand )
bro post death rituals are so shit. basically, my dadi died recently ( and before you ask, yes, the journal factory did indeed explode in my mind ) and the diet we've been asked to follow is shit. wdym we can't eat oil, haldi, milk ya tadke wala khana nahi kha sakte. aur upar se ek time ka khana skip karna hai???
we are not a grieving family. primarily because my dadi was the shittiest bitch alive to her kids and just to everyone. secondly, because she's been sick since 2019. but more focus on more primary reasons.
my sister and i don't really adhere to this diet. we've gotten take out for dinner 4x ever since my dadi died and abhi tak 12th day wala program shuru bhi nahi hua hai. my mom does it to support my dad because it's mainly him adhering to it because vahi pooja mein baithne wale hai.
it alr so hard to get that shit ass food down my throat ( ik my mom tries her best to salvage it ) and again, none of us are grieving!!!! i can't imagine what it must be like for an actual grieving family, someone mourning someone they held so dearly.
also, the person who sits for pooja have to make his own meals and can have one meal a day???? like bro that person is grieving!!!! how can you expect them to get up and have the energy to cook???? not only that you're "allowing" that person just one fucking meal a day! don't fucking tell me fruits count because those are not enough nutrients. again, specially for a GREIVEING person!!!!!!
not to mention ki jo pooja mein baithta hai that person becomes untouchable for 13 days???? can't even sit on sofas or beds????? how do you think friends and family are supposed to comfort each other?? fuck that wdym you can't help that person by bringing them water or food because, again, unfuckingtouchable.
and yk if you tell me ki back in the day people were poor and didn't have acess to so much food, i completely understand that. ik this statement is very fucking privileged, but some tradtions need changing. how can you justify kicking a person who's already down. and you know, i wouldn't be so mad if untouchability wasn’t included. like ek toh tum khana nahi de rahe ho thik hai, 13 days ki baat hai, and fruits allowed hai. not the ideal diet but fine ( nd by ideal diet i don't mean ki fancy food but the normal dal rice, sabzi and all)
but what is so untouchable about a person. about your person. like there's no way you can justify that! i don't get it what is this obsession that Hinduism has with untouchability.
it's just so fucking shit and i can't wait for it to be over already ( i miss my dad's hugs sm even though he's in the same room and teases me like usual )
Zayan Ali Mazari Jamali
Headcanons(?)
Older!Zayan who despised the name ali mazari attached to his name to such an extent that he changed it to Jamali as soon as he legally could. He said it meant that he was finally free of his absent father's shadow looming over him. That he'd finally gotten rid of the last thing that reminded him of his father.
Older!Zayan who has an instinctive habit of breathing into his hands—which are usually covered with splotches of ink because of how much he has to write—whenever he's drowsy. It apparently helps him to sleep better?
Older!Zayan who can grow a beard incredibly fast but gets irrationally irritated by it and shaves it off as soon as it's mildly visible. He says it's because he hates the gritty feel of a beard on his face. Although his friends collectively agree that his annoyed reaction to just the implication of having a beard is way too intense for the dislike to be limited to sensory discomfort.
Older!Zayan who hates the sound of drums and claims it sounds like bullets are being shot somewhere nearby.
Older!Zayan who, just like his beard, doesn't like to keep his hair too long. Though, he doesn't chop it off and keeps it at a certain length because his mother has a habit of running her fingers through them at times.
Older!Zayan who has a hard time saying goodbye because a small voice in his head screams at him to stop them and tells him that once they leave, something very bad will happen and they're never coming back. He's easily brushed off as clingy and anxious.
Older!Zayan who is deeply fascinated by Russian ballet. The incredibly controlled and neat movements absolutely enchant him. They carry unbearable weight and still stay composed. It's impressive, that's all he says.
Older!Zayan who decides he will be making a documentary on Russian ballet. It would be his first time travelling alone from Vancouver to somewhere else. Yalina nagged him relentlessly, insisting that she too tags along. Though after much convincing and a promise that he'd bring those fancy Russian perfumes on his way back home, his ammi finally agreed.
Older!Zayan who wakes up to a tap on his shoulder. He opened his eyes groggily to see a man standing above him holding, a passport out to him. His passport. "This fell out of your bag. Thought you'd need it?" Zayan immediately took it out of the man's hand, sitting up straight as he muttered sorries and thank yous while looking down. His hand found his nape and he rubbed it slightly to soothe the neck strain from the airport's metal benches.
The man walked to his side and sat down.
"Canadian passport. Where are you from?"
Zayan looked up at the man, finally taking him in. He looked like he was in his early 50s, a light brown blazer hung over his buff physique and a light beige turban wrapped around his head.
Zayan cleared his throat and adjusted his glasses up by a bit. "Vancouver." He said.
The man's stopped. His brows furrowed just slightly, mouth opened once and closed again. "Vancouver..?" He muttered, voice gruff.
Zayan felt something was wrong. "You okay?" He tilted his head. The man nodded at him, jerking his head once as if to shake any thoughts out of them. The man managed a small smile.
"where are you going from here?" He asked, his voice shook near the end. Zayan chose to ignore it. He wasn't going to start pestering a stranger about if they have a trauma regarding vancouver.
"I'm going to Moscow, russia. I have documentary I want to film." He paused, "Russian ballet"
The man let out a hum. "You're into sophisticated art, I see."
Zayan nodded. "What about you? Where are you going?" He asked.
"Tasmania. There's a hockey tournament going on. A close friend of mine plays hockey professionally, i couldn't be present at the earlier matches so he wanted me to there at the finale." The man explained.
Zayan just nodded. He wasn't really into hockey. Always been more of a football person.
The two men sat in the silence shared among themselves, the random buzzing of airport's chaos played behind them though, as expected. Zayan was already starting to doze off once again. The long layover was clearly not ideal after already travelling 10 hours from Vancouver to Amsterdam. And also, people should really stop taking babies on flights.
After a while, the man in the blazer spoke up. "Hey, i think they said something about your flight." He nudged zayan slightly. "Is that your gate number?" He said pointing at one of the departure boards.
Zayan sat up straight, moving his head to look at the board. He couldn't see the small writing at the board clearly. He squinted his eyes to focus.
"lagta hai chashme ka number barh gaya hai" the man muttered under his breath.
"Haan, lagta hai wahi hoga" Zayan replied instinctively as he took his glasses off and inspected them.
The man looked at him with eyes widened and brows shot right up. "Oh you know Hindi!" His exclaimed.
Zayan let out a light breathy laugh at the reaction, his dimples surfaced on his cheeks, his eyes turning into soft crescents as he looked at the man for about a split second.
The man froze.
His fingers stilled at his and his eyes narrowed down in a conflicted expression. Her brows that were settled up had furrowed just slightly. His eyes flickered over every feature of Zayan's face who had stood up and was searching his gate number.
Those dimples, those dark eyes.
Oh.
"there it is, mere jaane ka wakt agya hai sir. Thank you for the help, I'll leave now" zayan cut in, breaking the man's trance. He passed a smile at the man and began walking.
A few steps in,
"Beta tumhara naam nahi bataya?" A shaky voice uttered from behind him.
Zayan turned his head, looked at the man and spoke,
"Zayan Jamali."
He left.
A teardrop fell, right on the back of the palm, his vision blurred and he closed his eyes.
Hamza Jaskirat the man sighed.
"not mazari, huh?"
"Jamali..." His voice cracked.
"Zayan... Jamali."
His lips curved upwards and he nodded in approval.
His boy.
A/n : this was supposed to be a small headcanon thing but I saw someone answering an ask and the anon said something like this and I was instantly fascinated by the idea. If you're the account who got this ask, and has written something regarding this, please dm me I will give you the rightful credit. I just could not stop myself from writing this 🫶🏽 THIS IS NOT PROOFREAD.
Also, just a headcanon about post-return jaskirat, he would totally be into art and museums. I like to think he was in Amsterdam to visit the Van Gogh museum! Also yes, i referenced my own fic. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT 😡
Anyway, this is a small project which I wanted to write because I'm still stuck and have a lot left with ZZAZ. so I thought I should post a little something while I work on it ! Hope y'all liked it.
Thank you for reading!

my random unpopular opinions!!!
the idea that you or your significant other should distance themselves from their "girl bestfriend" or "boy bestfriend" is lame:
if i see anyone over the age of 20, even 21 is a stretch, doing this then i'm just going to assume you're immature. prioritizing your partner is one thing, but if you think you should distance yourself from your bestfriend of opposite gender then might as well distance yourself from your entire grp. i think distance should be kept only if your bestfriend had or have feelings for you or is actively trying to sabotage your relationship. moreover, by 20 you've lived enough to understand someone's flirty instances or words that are disrespectful towards your partner. the bestfriend is already shallow enough to pursue a taken person but your partner is equally shallow if they do not set boundaries and continuously allow such behavior. they're not setting boundaries because they like that attention and feeling of being chased despite being a relationship, which is equally, if not more, bad and shallow.
as a papa ki ( spoiled ) pari, the local train experience has me absolutely flabbergasted 😭😭

toh you agree ki it's a women's choice on however she styles her hair, even if it's the opposite of the natural state of her hai? "yes!"
toh you agree ki it's a women's choice whether she decides to shave her body, regardless of how the "hairless" standard was invented for women? "yes!"
