I really love the new TV series as well as the 90s movie, but I had to go with Tom and Brad for the icon because when I first read and watched and fell in love with Interview with the Vampire and the Vampire Chronicles, it was the 90s film that I was obsessed with as a weird child :3 <3

My old ass had to look up “what’s the difference between pansexual and omnisexual” and I found this cool infographic with a plethora of flags for different sexuality and gender identities.

It can be a little overwhelming keeping up with all the new vocabulary and iconography but I’m so happy and grateful to be alive during a time where I’m slightly confused by all the new labels for gender identity and sexuality than to not have that vocabulary! I love that humanity keeps finding new ways to express ourselves 💕💖

I’m a millennial in my mid thirties, so I grew up with pretty much only gay,lesbian, bisexual or queer as the main terminology for sexuality. I started identifying as bi around 13 years old or so. Now that we have more vocabulary, I’d probably just as easily describe myself as pansexual and omnisexual—simply put, I can feel attraction to pretty much anyone of any possible gender identity. But bisexual will always be my preferred label because it’s my old friend and the flag is so pretty 🩷💙💜 To me the “bi” portion covers male,female, and everybody in between and around.

Anyways, just some musings for pride month. Happy Pride to everyone from an elder millennial bisexual who’s happy to see definitions of gender and sexuality expanding and queer joy persevering in the face of all the far right bullshit happening around the globe.
