God, even Wendy's smile made a strange sense of guilt twist in Taylor's gut. She was too naive for her own good. "I can't remember the last time I ate a cheeseburger." Most of Taylor's food consisted of humans nowadays. She always preferred to feed fresh, most vampires did, but it was risky.

It didn't take them long to get to the place Wendy mentioned and once they got their food and found a table Taylor picked up her burger and took a hesitant bite. She couldn't help the soft groan of disapproval she let out as she closed her eyes and savored it. "I forgot how good grease is. Even if it's disgusting."

It had to be acknowledged, Wendy was almost offended at the fact Taylor couldn't remember her last cheeseburger! Unacceptable! Good thing that was going to change, and she was honored to be a witness.

Wendy was looking at the blonde intently, not even paying attention to the piece of burger in her mouth, the girl had to cover her mouth as a chuckle wanted to escape. "It is disgusting yes." she said after taking a sip of her soda, "But once every now and then is alright, like a special treat. Now, wasn't this a good idea?"

"You look — and smell — like you're human. With all due respect, the Manor would eat you up and then you'd never leave. I don't want that for you." It was crowded enough as is. Sally scoffed lightly. "I'm better than ever. You shouldn't worry your pretty little mind about the undead."

Undead? Was she yet another vampire as well? Or perhaps ghost stories weren't so far from reality? Everything was possible at Walt's Landing! "Well it's not like I want to come in either."

At least not alone, either way the young woman before her not only was she beautiful, but...Kind and gentle hearted. That was nice.

"It's good to hear that and I'll consider your advice, however I guess is a little too late for me to not be concerned for the undead at this point." There were the Lost Boys after all, "I'm Wendy by the way, Wendy Darling."

"I think they try incredibly hard. Maybe harder than they should." Marian mused. The questions were hitting a little too close to home. Marian knew most would label her as a strong, independent woman in a heartbeat. She was. That was true. She also felt powerless more than she wanted to admit, though. "Judgement is tricky. I don't have the answers. I wish I did. I think we just have to do the best we can and keep control of the situations we find ourselves in."

So there were grown ups that didn't had the answers after all, this was something Wendy has been questioning for a while, but seeing the other speak so freely and empathic made her wonder if perhaps she was being a bit too hard? "I think you're right...In the end we all try to do our best even when we can't understand others." she said with a nod, "Thank you, you're so kind and smart."

Having her hand touched was a bit of a surprise; Eira knew hers had been icy ever since she turned. "You're very reassuring. Has anyone ever told you that? Scarily so." For a second, she was slightly embarrassed to be consoled by a high schooler. It wasn't the girls fault that she was more emotionally mature, though.

Just like the lost boys, the touch to her skin brought chills to her spine, but, it didn't matter to Wendy. Not only she was growing used to it, but Eira needed it more. The girl refused to let the other go just yet, a chuckle escaped her lips, growing shy at her compliment.

"Why thank you, didn't mean to scare though...But if you must know I do have a couple of little brothers that kind of need constant reassurance every now and then, so you learn a tip or two."

Eira wanted to be petulant and pout. Life, as of late, sucked. When Greta had walked into her life all those years before, she never would have thought her stepmother would (accidentally) kill her father or develop a hankering for her heart. "It's hard to know what to decide and not doubt those decisions. Honestly, it all gives me a headache."

"Well, with all due respect. I'd say cheer up! Because something tells me you're yet to discover your own story. I may not know much but I do know that we're all aloud to make mistakes every now and then." Wendy spoke after seeing her fair share of vampires, but not all of them had to live tragically. At least she hoped so.

"Right?" Ariel laughed. Something was one way of putting it. Her father had nearly driven her away in an irreparable way. "My father and I definitely hit the depths of despair. Things were really bad. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going to the lengths that I did. It was almost unfixable." It was really bad. "But he eventually realized that he was going to lose me. Letting me grow up was preferable to that."

A laugh escaped Wendy, before she regained her composure and listened intently at the other's story. It was good that she was able to speak about it so casually, but it must've been hard, specially the part of almost losing each other. Would she and her father come to good terms as well? "It sounds like you had quite an adventure. I'm sorry it had such rough bumps in the way." she said before nodding, "As exciting and hopeful it sounds, I can't afford getting in danger, I have two younger siblings to take care of."

It wasn't a story for children at all. A cautionary tale, maybe. Don't gain too much power and grow complacent? No one is safe? People were complex. They could be both good and bad. Anya believed that to be true about her father. He had lost the support of the vampires but had loved his family fiercely. There was good in him. She knew it.

"Maybe," Anya worked to make sure her tone wasn't unkind. "Children should be told different stories until they're old enough to know the truth. We don't want to spread false information, do we?"

The last thing the Romanov's needed was their family name taking another hit. There wasn't even individual graves for Anya to visit. Rumor had it Rasputin and Otis had dumped them in a mass one, unmarked and unattended to.

"I know a thing or two about the Romanov's. Maybe I can help you fill in some of the facts." It wasn't the same as coming forward, but it was a start.

"Agreed." Wendy said almost instantly, thinking of the children back in the Darling Home, and how many times she had to soothe the cries of as many as she could. How she was unable to see some of them again, or...grow.

"However, when they lack paternal figures, is easy for children to grow ever so curious, it can lead them to knowledge and fates that are far beyond their current comprehension. Which is why, one must try to protect them and keep their innocence as intact as possible. Even if we divert certain facts for until they grow, don't you think so?"

There was a time and place.

Nevertheless, a glint of hope sparked in her own as the young woman made an offer, a smile slowly appearing in her face. "That would be very helpful and resourceful! While it's important to protect innocence, we can't forget either so we learn, correct?"

They didn't know each other, but this girl had offered to listen. There was something so disarmingly endearing about this stranger that it caught Anya off guard. Would she have grown up like that if she had the chance? What would she have looked like if her innocence hadn't been stripped away so young? "You don't have to be so nice to me, you know. I was the one being rude."

"Was I any less rude before?" Wendy asked feeling her ears heating up, even if she hadn't know that didn't took the fact the woman before her must've been missing something she was taking for granted. That was rude and unfair. "I don't have to, but I mean it. Strength doesn't rely on hiding your feelings, so is okay. Don't feel like you're forced to of course!"

"Pay me? Oh, no. No. No payment is necessary here. I didn't actually do anything. But I will say: I think that dramatic moments are just fine. We all have them from time to time, don't we?" Elsa's had almost frozen Anna's heart, but there was neither here nor there at this point.

"You're right, a little bit drama every now and then keeps life spicy." a chuckle escaped her lips before she turned it into a sigh, "But I guess, the offer of getting some ice cream or sweets is off the tables now, oh boy..." Wendy spoke faking disappointment in the hopes the other would grab the hook.

"Why would I want to eat anything else?" Taylor questioned with a face as she glanced over towards Wendy. She had no idea what Peter saw in her. She was so mild-mannered and sweet. It almost made Taylor feel bad about what Peter had planned, mostly because she could tell Wendy had absolutely no idea. Maybe that's what made her oblige to the offer to go grab food. "Ugh, please, no stories. Burgers sound fine."

A bright smile crossed the young human's face, maybe the other felt force, but it would be a lie to say it didn't excited Wendy to spend some time with Taylor. They weren't in best terms, and was oblivious of the darkness behind, but maybe she could reach out in a middle ground?

"Amazing, come, I know a place my brothers and I go to, I'm sure you'll like it." she said ready to lead the way to the other, "I promise no stories, but also promise there will be a lot of cheese. You don't mind?"

"Parents are always a difficult battle,” Alice mused, sighing. She had her own struggles, mainly with her mother. It was hard, feeling like the person in control of your life most of the time was one who wouldn’t listen to your wishes. “They think they know what is best and so they get to make all of the decisions whether we like it or not. It is incredibly frustrating.”

Wendy smiled lazily, it was as if the blonde knew what was happening without even telling her. Somehow it made it easier to approach the others, "Exactly!" she said surprised and relieved at the same time, "I know they come from a good place, but..." she shook her head at the loss of words, "How are we suppose to learn or behave when they aren't showing us what they demand? Is...I don't know...frustrating like you said. Guess you're having it rough too?"

Cynthia couldn’t help but truly smile at the girl’s compliment, though even her truest smile still looked a bit devious. “And a true artist I am! And not just any artist- I’m Cynthia de Vil, the greatest fashion designer this world could ever hope to see. You, dear, may call me Cyn. And what may I call you?”

The confidence was as bright and impressive as her style and clothes, it was hard not to be easily blind by her. Although her smile was intimidating, Wendy didn't felt fear, but curiosity instead. The way she talked about artistic expression made her wonder if she ever would inspire in such way someone with her stories as well.

"Oh, such an honor then Cyn. The world needs more art and artists, surely you'll make a great impact in history." she said before offering a smile, "I'm Wendy Darling, you may call as you wish."

“Oh never mind.. I’m sure it probably won’t interest you and anyway.. you don’t seem like the type that can handle much.. messiness. Your like a little flower aren’t you? Beautiful but.. breakable.” She said after à pause her hand patting Wendy’s gently before pulling away. “I bet you just do what anyone tells you huh?”

Wendy arched a brow, not only her whole life was a mess, she dealt with boys on a daily basis. I mean, she does love her siblings with all her heart, still boys in the end. A small smile crossed her features in understanding, she'd seen that behavior way too many times at the Darling Home, all ages and all genders.

She was only provoking her, but Wendy thought of getting more intel and play along. "Of course I don't do what anyone tells me!" well that did came from her heart, "Either way...Why don't you try me?" One thing was certain, attention the newcomer was seeking, either for creating chaos or for someone actually seeing her, she had to find out. "Little flowers don't bloom without strong roots. But, since I'm so breakable it shouldn't take long."

Belle herself didn’t like others to interrupt while she was reading, but this person here at the park looked so enticed in their book, one with an unfamiliar cover, that she had to know just what this book was about. Hopefully it would lead to another title to add to her TBR pile. “Excuse me,” she approached them, “what’s that book you’re reading? You seem to be enjoying it!”

Wendy was so in depth with her book that being called almost made her roll her eyes, however when the woman that approached with such curiosity her face lightened up.

"It's an adventure one." she said with a smile, "Two siblings are caught in a mess with gods, secrets and magic all while trying to find a way to save their father who's been kidnapped by said gods and is the one that holds many mysteries. It is quite thrilling! I believe anyone can enjoy this story at any age"

“Perhaps they don’t.. “ she replied. “I mean.. there are always other ways of getting it too.” She suggested. Odile had been looking for someone to try her readings on she hardly had enough ability to do anything big she was no caster but didn’t mean she still couldn’t try to have some fun,

Rude. Wendy was quick to turn towards the young woman, while her face looked like a doll, her words were sharp like knives. Maybe even more so when being in such vulnerable state. She could argue about the value of anyone's voice, and wondered if the other was just being smart about it, however something else caught her attention. "Other ways, of getting...What exactly and how?"

"Sure, yeah. Believe what you'd like. Whatever keeps the tourists away, I guess." Everyone who lived in Gracey Manor was there for a reason. In a lot of cases, they preferred solitude. "You should probably stay away."

"Right." A small chuckle escaped her lips, but the concern over the other's face was rising in her chest, "I know I don't look like much but I can handle troublemakers, horrors and tragedies just fine. Though, I hope you're alright?"

Marian had no choice but to believe that her parents wanted the best for her — even when it went against what she wanted. When she had learned that her mother knew Rob was alive, she had been livid. To her, it changed everything. To her mother, nothing. Rob was (un)dead and still out of reach. "Sometimes, we just have to trust them." She was reminding herself of that as well. "Our voices matter, but we don't always know what's best."

Wendy was lost in thought to her words, they came from a good place, yes. But she felt a silent need to fight them too, she had one point though a good one, however the other released more questions she didn't knew she held.

"They do try in the end correct?" Wendy asked calmly, the other woman looked deep in thought too, a noble aura surrounded her "If we don't know what's best, how can someone else do? It doesn't make sense, if it's your life, shouldn't you be the one in charge?"
