"Sure, I’m offering. Always up to help someone in need." Regulus hoped none of his relatives had head him say that.
Emmeline grinned, pulling another book out of her bag, "And when I finish this? What then?"

"Sure, I’m offering. Always up to help someone in need." Regulus hoped none of his relatives had head him say that.
Emmeline grinned, pulling another book out of her bag, "And when I finish this? What then?"
“When I started acting, my parents gave me three rules: I had to stay good in school, stay the kid they always knew I was, and I had to have fun. If I wasn’t doing those three things, then I couldn’t do acting anymore.”
"I’d like to be an auror. Also, I’d like to actually be allowed to keep contact with my siblings once I graduate."
"Then cheers."
"Yeah, you'd make a good auror. How old're your siblings? I don't have any, myself. Just me..."
"Cheers."
Every single journey that I’ve embarked on, I’ve learned something new.
"Not particularly, but I don’t really have any other options."
"You happen to be a fan of firewhiskey?"
"..Sorry...
"What is it you do want? In general, I mean."
"I'll admit I don't drink it much, but sure"
Emmeline spent most of the morning contemplating whether or not she was going to go to the ball that night. She did want to, she decided, realizing that it wasn't an ordinary occurrence, that she should take advantage of the opportunity while she could.
She didn't want to go alone, though. And because it was a new thing this year, she wasn't sure who else would turn up. She found herself stopping in the middle of the corridor after walking out of class, lost in thought. She didn't snap back to reality until she felt someone run into her.
"Oh, sorry," she murmured before turning to see who it was.
"Honestly, do you want me to help you or not? I don’t have much left, I could do it really quickly."
"I suppose I wouldn't mind some help, if you're offering..."
"Is anyone else going to this Halloween thing? It sounds a bit fun, but I don’t really want to be the only one there."
"I think I'd like to go, it sounds like a lot of fun! I'd go with you if you'd like...?"
"No, my uncle cares even less about me than she does. They just want the inheritance."
"I’m grabbing a drink. Want one?"
"Sorry to hear that. I'm assuming it'll be better for you in the long run to stay with them anyway?"
"Sure, why not. I'll take anything."
I really couldn’t care less.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize I had to impress you."
"Okay you win. Can you teach me how to do it?"
"I s'ppose. I'm surprised I could even do it, it's been years."
"So how've you been?"
"See, it's been a while but I told you I could still do it!"
"As long as you can go about this first part without my help, then I’d be perfect with a competition."
"I’d better get started, then."
"Then I guess I should get to work then? I'm up for some competition"
"I really hope I don't have anything else I need to do after this... At this rate, I sorta doubt I'll finish."
"I told her no. I also told her where she could shove it. She hasn’t cared what I’ve done for the last seventeen years, she shouldn’t start now."
"And you've got no one else who could try talking some sense into her?"
"A competition? Well, if I’d been aware we were competing, Miss Vance, I would already be done by now."
"What’s my prize if I do finish before you?"
"What, would you prefer it not be? It's no fun if there's not any competition..."
"Now that bit depends on how quickly you finish it."
"Not particularly. My aunt’s thinking about arranging a marriage for me."
"And she demanded that she wanted my mum’s old dress back. That’s the last thing I have left of hers."
"I'm--sorry. I suppose you can't just... tell her no? Find some way to compromise?"
"I bloody hate my aunt!"
"What happened? You alright?"
