☆ ABOUT ME ☆

Hey everyone! You can call me darling, and I sometimes write whumpy/yandere things. I’m 22, from the US, and use she/they pronouns. 

I’ve been lurking in the whumpblr community since 2019-ish (and frequented the whump tag on ao3 even earlier), but only started writing whump specific stories in early 2022. I used to write mediocre fanfiction back in high school and then stopped writing for a while, but whumpblr has been my motivation to pick it up again as a hobby. I’m also a serial doodler and beginner artist (I just started using procreate & properly drawing this year...emphasis on beginner), so look out for occasional art pieces to accompany my writing!

Perfectionist whumpees who believe that every second of their day should be productive, and that time spent resting is time wasted.

They're held captive and exhausted from torture, hardly able to see straight, chastising themself for merely fantasizing about freedom instead of working on their escape plan.

They're sprawled out, breathing heavy and trying to get their bearings after the whump. They need to go fetch their first aid kit but they spend a few precious, guilt-ridden minutes bleeding and feeling sorry for themself.

Their first thought when they see whumper is no, please, not now! I have too much to do!

They flit around the house as their bandages grow steadily redder: a ticking time bomb that only further delights the one who hurt them in the first place.

Then, worst of all, they're bound and gagged, growing more anxious with the second as their inability to get anything done gnaws away at their sanity.

The whumper can't help but adore it. They didn't even need to instill this behavior: this is something their whumpee is doing all by themself.

caretaker trying to teach whumpee bodily autonomy after they've been conditioned to accept physical abuse

caretaker has no idea what they're doing. they took some self-defence classes half a decade ago but they know that trying to get whumpee to fight from the get-go would end with them collapsing and ugly crying into the boxing gloves.

they figure that this is probably way too much all at once and that whumpee needs much smaller steps. so caretaker orders them to say 'stop' to their face, watching whumpee tense up in horror. but they say it. blurted out at first but steadily getting more secure as they learn that they won't be punished. then caretaker (very slowly) walks towards whumpee, and orders them to say 'stop' before they can get close enough to touch. whumpee doesn't understand, like a deer in the headlights they freeze in place, eyes squeezed shut and knees buckling as caretaker walks directly at them.

whumpee can't even speak (the impossible choice ringing horribly in their head), not knowing if the defiance of staying silent or telling caretaker to stop would be worse. there are tears in their eyes. so caretaker reaches whumpee, seeing them tremble up close, pain stabbing at their chest in sympathy. immediately followed by numbing cold anger at whumper. but no matter how painful, this has to be done. whumpee had to learn that caretaker will listen. that their words have weight again. they try to keep the emotion out of their voice while telling them that, hey. it's ok. we can try again. it's ok if you don't get it right immediately, I can see that you're trying and that's really good! you're doing so good. can you try again for me?

it doesn't work, not at first, whumpee can't bring themself to say the word and it haunts them the entire night. they barely sleep at all, will they be punished if they keep failing? or will they be punished for succeeding and it was all just a test to teach whumpee their place. who are they to tell their new master 'no'. the thought makes them want to throw up. but caretaker keeps dragging them back to the practice room, slowly walking up to whumpee over and over and over again. they start to wonder if this is worth it, what if their efforts do nothing and traumatize whumpee all over again? so when they hear the tiny, almost inaudible 'stop' after what feels like ages(!) it makes caretaker stop dead in their tracks.

a beaming smile spreads across their face and they almost run to bury whumpee in the proudest, most affectionate hug of their life when they remember that moving now and ignoring the 'stop' would set them back to the beginning. so they breathe out deeply and tell whumpee that they're proud of them. that they did really well and that caretaker will make their favourite food as a reward. and hot chocolate. whumpee is still starting at the floor though, confused and terrified and in disbelief.

it will take a long time for whumpee to say 'stop' with confidence, caretaker thinks to themself, but they will get there. maybe they'll even say it outside of the training room one day

It could have been so peaceful. So comforting. And maybe, in some way, it almost was.

The fire crackled softly in its hearth, sending light, flickering shadows all over the room. Fairy lights twinkled just as eagerly in a bottle on the bookshelves that lined the living room walls. Tea steamed on the coffee table, sending its herbal notes freely into the open space, mixing just so with whatever winter smell the air purifier sprayed into the air.

Whumpee was lying curled on the couch in the middle of it all, their head resting gently against his shoulder, huddled under a blanket, their eyes barely opened. His hand moved gently, thumb tracing their side along a soothing, intimate path. And he hummed oh so tenderly to some imaginary lullaby only he seemed to know the rhythm to, and yet everything bend to it.

Oh, why couldn’t it just be this simple? Why couldn’t it just be this peaceful?

It could have been, if it weren’t for the zip ties keeping their hands together in their lab. If it weren’t for the gag keeping them quiet. If it weren’t for the drugs keeping them docile. If it weren’t for the surveillance cameras hidden in every corner of every room around the house, keeping them his.

Yes, it could have all been so comforting, if it weren’t for the fact that they had become a prisoner to a man who loved them more than they ever could reciprocate.

The process of un-binding a terrified whumpee.

Having someone hold them still as they drill/saw a chain off.

Untying them gently to reveal bad bruises and cuts from weeks of fighting.

Whumpee staying still until the second their restrains come off.

Restrains that are actively hurting them.

Rescuers know the restraints are the only thing keeping everyone safe, so they leave them on until sedation kicks in, or whumpee collapses from exhaustion.

Having to move them from chains right on in strapping them down on a gurney.

Whumpee pulling themselves to the end of their chain to keep distance from the strangers in uniform.

whumpee who has to be dragged out of a hiding spot by the chain.

Weak restrains that didn't do much, but it didn't matter because whumpee was kept in an exhausted/drug state to even try anything.

Whumpee barely registers the sensation of cold stone beneath them as they lay there.

Spent. Empty. Nothing left.

It doesn’t hurt, really. It had hurt, back when they still had magic to force out. But now it’s just… numb. 

They shiver. 

“Awake, are we?” Footsteps echo through the stone chamber as Whumper approaches. “Finally tired yourself out?”

Whumpee groans, rolling onto their side. The thick chains wrapped around their wrists clink together, and it’s too loud. Everything is too loud.

A boot nudges Whumpee’s ankle with distaste. “Did you really think you could escape? Did you think I would be stupid enough to lock up a mage and not magic-proof everything?”

Whumpee squeezes their eyes shut. They had hoped, perhaps foolishly, that their magic could overpower Whumper’s. That there was something they could do that Whumper hadn’t thought of. And now they’re here, utterly defeated and fresh out of power.

“I guess I should thank you for the display, though. Now I don’t have to interrogate you to figure out exactly what you’re capable of."

What I like seeing is like... pet mages. Pet spell casters. Were they won in a war? Were they someone born with magic that didn't hide themselves from the town guard well enough? Either way, they get brought to whatever nobles or royals to serve all their magic needs, no matter how cruel or annoyingly frivolous.

Being tantalizingly powerful enough to kill their new master- they have magic and the noble presumably DOESNT- but certainly not being strong enough to get away from the guards or out of the grounds without being caught and punished.

Or worse, some kind of magical restraints that prevent them from casting spells whenever they want, only permitting magic to be used when the noble commands it. The magic itching under their skin, clawing to be free and making them sick as it festers in them.

And a step further on that, being forced all day to charge something maybe, a big battery that fuels the power in the castle, or a secret weapon that they've been working on. Getting exhausted day to day.

Perhaps they're used as a training dummy in the army or guard, learning to fight and catch more mages.

Just gosh, being having the power to partially escape, being subjected to that humiliation, or being used and used until the magic is all gone then being disposed of. Very fun.

thief whumpee: silver-tongued/ can't keep still/ uses humor as a coping mechanism-> gagged/ stress positions/ a casual whumper whose indifference immobilizes whumpee

royal whumpee: stoic/ proud/ seeks revenge after their imprisonment-> forced to kneel/ public humiliation, dragged around like a trophy, collared, branded etc/ enough scars to look like a constellation on their skin

healer whumpee: kind/ keeps up an image for the sake of others/ skilled in their trade-> pushed to the edge/ others have to take care of them/ hands or fingers so badly damaged they'll never be able to help anyone else again

innocent whumpee: naive/ trusting/ hopeful-> "no one is coming for you"/ left to die/ a whumper who twists whumpee's anger against their friends

bitter whumpee: apathetic/ shrugs off what they've been through/ exhausted-> "I'm fine." followed by collapsing/ vivid flashbacks where they wake up screaming/ refuses to fall asleep after their ordeal

leader whumpee: independent to the point of isolation/ tries to protect everyone/ mentally well-adjusted (mostly)-> set up to fail/ forced to hurt their teammates/ they come back changed, and everyone avoids them
