Alright so no, I wasn’t caught or anything. But I wanted to give y'all a heads up. I was in Pink with my friends and I grabbed a bag (Was planning on lifting.) I was looking at some items and I picked a few up and checked the prices and set them back on they displays. I didn’t think I was being sus at all because I was literally just looking at things. I hadn’t put anything in the bag, I hadn’t concealed anything, ect. But I had this feeling I was being watched. An SA complimented my highlight and I said thank you but after she walked away I heard her say into her headset “she keeps picking things up and putting them down…” And that was it for me. Be careful because you never know when someone is on to you. Be careful because even if you get a compliment they could be skeiving you. Do not risk it if you feel something is wrong. I’m so glad I didn’t and I gave up as soon as I heard that SA talking into her headset. Do not look sus it WILL get you caught.

Attention all shoplifters! I went to a mall for the first time and noticed the stores didn’t have sensors so I thought I could just take a bunch of stuff without worrying about tags. But a girl walked in and an alarm went off. I was confused and looked around and noticed that there are sensors on the ceiling that I never would have known about if it wasn’t for that girl. I have a post on the pamphlet method that I posted pretty recently. I actually came up with it my self! Basically you get a pamphlet that they usually have In Most stores have them either on a new line of products or a store credit cards. This can also work with magazine! So basically you just walk around with the pamphlet open like you’re reading it and pick up the item you want (better for thinner items) and put it on the pamphlet and just close it! You don’t even have to conceal it but it won’t look strange if you just pop it in your bag!

i do this but i use it with the pick up two item method, make up is a fave especially thin things. i pick up two slide one behind the leaflet then read the box and all that shit and decide i “don’t want” it and put it back while i conceal the other 💫

I want us as a community to progress from labeling out every price and gradually develop to explaining what method you used, how it went, what your store is like. I feel like it could be beneficial, that we could go from talking about how much we can steal (which is a bad influence on more new lifters who want to be able to steal hundreds, or even thousands immediately) to a more helpful sharing of situations and tips, since even if you’re just using sleight of hand to say, steal that lipstick, you all have you own, slight changes to how about you do use the sleight of hand. Like, I use it primarily when I’m walking down an isle, preferably with the camera towards my back, because walking more easily masks my movements. We’d be able to see what you got and where on your hauls (visual reinforcement to a location) and be able to spread tips more frequently. idk, this is just something that’s been on my mind for a while. I always look at y’all’s hauls and wonder how you did it. I just kinda want all of us to be able to actively help develop our community so that we become well-versed in the variations of lifting instead of just one specific way of doing things and ultimately all become badasses

Alrighty we’ll start off with what basic pinhole cameras look like on their own not hidden or imbedded in walls. 

The second picture is a pinhole camera without a specific lense attatched to it. Do you see that little cone shaped thing on the first picture? That’s the lens.

Pinhole cameras can be even smaller that that hunky box thing, they can even be wireless.

See how tiny? See how wireless? You know where these are? Plants, furniture, and displays in stores, potentially even mannequins. 

Now to some cameras you’re probably seen and didn’t even know they were cameras!

I bet you have all seen some variation of this thing around and didn’t even know that they were a camera! Maybe a motion sensor device? These little guys take a photo up to every 1/100,000 if you aren’t into photography that’s a very fast shutter speed. A normal camera usually goes up to 1/250th of a second. The live feed from those pinhole cameras updates every 1/100000th of a second creating a constant HD feed for loss prevention to look over at their leisure. I know for a fact that my American Eagle has the little white pinhole cameras and I have seen them around. Now to how do they layout these cameras? 

Once upon a time I had a post on my old blog queen-city-lifter that had a picture of a section of Hollister’s store with the pinhole camera placement. Some idiot employee left it unattended and out on the counter for any impressionable and curious youth to look at. So I took a picture and studied it obviously. I hope one day you can be as lucky.

In short, recognize pinhole cameras and know what stores use them. Stores will typically not mix dome cameras and pinhole cameras. But always be on the look out.

return with a large shopping bag or purse halfway filled with items that have volume but not weight 

keep the bag on your shoulder

do not get a basket 

when no one is looking and you are behind a display simply move the bag to your elbow and drop the goods in assuring the fall beneath your cover
