Sofia: Yes sir I have Isa to protect me
Sofia: Keep that to yourself actually
Sofia: Don't tell dad and Lexie she's with me not yet
Sofia: & yes will do
Darren: wait what
Darren: since when is Isa with you?
Darren: now I'm seriously worried, where are you headed?
“Nope,” she shook her head. “I can’t say that I have.” Isa would usually find the little girl’s stuffed elephant under her pillow or tucked under the sheets when Izzy would lay her down to sleep. She’s glad her brother hadn’t seen what she’d been doing only seconds before he entered her room or he’d raise Hell. “Try under the bed though… I’ve seen it end up there… or, you know, you guys could just stay.”
“Okay.” Darren mumbled as he bent down to check under the bed. Jackpot. He smiled as he stood up, the worn elephant tucked under his arm. “Isa, we both know I can’t stay as long as you’re doing secret stuff like that in your room.” He replied as he nodded to what she had tried to keep hidden. Sure, he wasn’t 100% sure what she had been hiding, but going off her reaction when he walked in, it definitely wasn’t something he would approve of.

Sofia: I'll tell you as soon as I figure it out
Sofia: I will be home at some point
Sofia: There is no need for your concern, my good sir
Darren: Sof, where are you right now?
Darren: Are you okay?

Sofia: Just a little FYI I'm going out of town for a few minutes/days
Sofia: Since I can't do anything useful @ work it seemed like a good time no time like the present as they say
Sofia: I'll get u a keychain or somethin
Darren: okayy, where are you going?
Darren: When will you be home?
Darren: Sof, I'm lowkey concerned
Isa sat up fast and dropped what was in her hand. She had been caught and she knew it. When she was asked what she was doing, she was quick on her feet with a response, “That depends. What did you see?”
Darren had just walked into Isa’s room in search of Izzy’s favourite stuffed animal - which she had a habit of hiding in Isa’s room. “Uhh, nothing?” He replied. Darren definitely hadn’t expected Isa to be home. “I was looking for Izzy’s elephant, have you seen it?” He replied as he ran a hand through his hair. He was doing his best on getting the last of the packing done before he moved out the next day.”

“Well, this isn’t really the ideal situation is it?” Darren said as he glanced around at the group of people he was stuck in a room with. “I was meant to relieve the babysitter by midnight..” He trailed off, glancing at his watch.
Hero looked at his friend with concern all over his face, “Is it really almost midnight already? How long do you think they’re going to have us locked in for?”
“It’s past it by now.” Darren replied with a shake of his head. “Not too long now, I’d imagine. With the amount of security there was tonight they must find whoever they’re looking for soon.”

“You should definitely call ‘em and tell ‘em you won’t make it,” she frowned. “I have a feeling its going to be awhile.”
“I tried calling, but there was no answer.” He replied with a shake of his head. “She’s probably fine. Everything is probably fine.”

“It’s not, no,” she said softly, shaking her head. Nerissa was not impressed, but there wasn’t a lot she could do about it. “This is taking an awfully long time. I’m sure the sitter will understand.. Have you thought to call and tell them that you’re being held up?”
“I tried, but there was no answer.” Darren replied as he sent another text to the babysitter. “Which is worring in it self.”

“Hey, it worked out. Now I’m Seattle’s newest up-and-coming designer,” she winked. Lola was determined to make it. She shrugged, “I’m using this time to practice dancing for my wedding. I can’t believe it’s gotten so close to time.”
"Of course.” Darren said with a laugh, although he firmly believed that his cousin could go all the way in the industry. “Oh my god, when is the wedding?” Darren asked, he couldn’t lie, he had completely forgotten about her wedding.
Anna thought she would hate being here. Being around lots of people was never her thing, but after arriving and seeing how beautiful everything was - not to mention the free food - she’d been awestruck and was actually enjoying herself. Making her way to the food table she was too busy thinking about what dessert to get to watch where she was going and only came to when she hit someone. “Oh my gosh I’m sorry!” she exclaimed. “I wasn’t paying attention. I was too busy thinking about food. I’m fine, are you okay? I didn’t spill your drink, did I?”
“No, no, it’s all my fault. Don’t worry about it.” Darren said with a smile. “And - no. It didn’t spill.” Darren actually didn’t know there would be food there. Well, he assumed there would be, but he hadn’t found any yet. “Food? Where’s the food?”
