UNHOLY TRUTHS YOU GUYS
It’s okay to hate God today, to change his name to yours, to want to ruin all that ruined you.
— Rachel McKibbens, from “letter from my heart to my brain,” blud
“I let my rage have the stars.”
— E. Kristin Anderson, from “Down And Out,” published in SWWIM
Purify
My soul yearns for the earth and to feel the dirt underneath my feet.
My ears crave the sound of rain and the whispers of the wind between the trees, the beautiful silence of mother nature that no city can provide.
My heart weeps for a love never known while my body aches for only you. I am in need of your wisdom and touch.
My brain desires words strung into meaningful sentences said by lips that only tell the truth.
Give me PURPOSE.
Make this all make SENSE.
Give me a passionate existence or give me a quick death.
