Hey, guys— It’s Jake here, and I basically need a bit of help… I apologize for asking during such a tough time, I know everyone is struggling, I’ve just run very short on options. I live with a family of six, there’s four children, my little sisters (6 & 2), my little brothers (15 & 3), me, and my mother. Unfortunately, we’ve run very short on funds.. My father has been trying his best to work things out, but the state we’re in is actively trying not to give us money we need. I had expected to receive the stimulus money, but I learned two days ago that due to my father writing me onto our taxes, despite not needing to be, I was officially no longer eligible for this stimulus payment. This is royally screwed how I expected these following months… I had expected to have a budget of $1,200, now I’m working on much less. I had HOPED to be able to help my family, but now things are looking way worse.. I just, need help… Anything, anything at all would help tremendously.

Hi, hello, I’m here to update/provide a few more details..
First things first, I would like to thank everyone that’s sent me anything/reblogged this post. It’s been tremendously comforting and reassuring seeing everyone help. I personally didn’t expect anyone to do anything, but that’s mainly my personal doubts and lack of awareness of my place in the fandom. I’m so grateful for every little thing, I hope to be able to repay everything that’s been given to me. You’ve helped me be able to provide food for my brothers and sisters, and that’s been an incredible boost to my overall morale.
My father works in the film industry, and due to the current state of the world, that’s been put on hold until further notice… His union recently released guidelines to return to work, but I highly doubt studios would be willing to put forth that much effort to ensure everyone’s safety… The film industry can be a shitty place. We’ve all been in a near endless fight with unemployment and various other things. Unemployment doesn’t help much, but it’s something— Shitty thing is, they’ve been refusing to provide any money for a few MONTHS now. We only recently got anywhere with them, and even then things aren’t looking promising. I just want everyone to know, my family isn’t sitting around doing nothing, we’re actively trying to secure some form of income. I’ve considered digging around for work, but with my current health, and how my state has been and continues to handle the current state of things, I don’t feel safe. That being said, I AM looking for little ways to make things here and there, it’s just been difficult.
A lot of what I’ve gotten so far has gone to paying for little bits of food and a bill to keep our internet on, so everyone has done that much. My grandmother deals with the house payment, it’s shitty, but it’s the situation we’re in… We have a bit of food now, but I know it won’t last, so if anyone can help, I’d be tremendously grateful. I’m sorry to still ask, I really am.
