to other autistic people, do specific songs ever become your special interests for awhile? there’s weeks where one single song will become a special interest for me, and i’ll listen to it over and over and analyze the entire thing all the way down to the way the artist sings it or how the instruments sound, and interpret the exact meaning of the song. is anyone else like that?
My whole life growing up, I constantly believed I had hearing issues. Why? Because that’s what I was told, because I said “what” all the time. I went for countless hearing tests and kept getting more because they weren’t getting the results they were looking for. So often though I say “what” only for what they said to click when they are just starting to repeat themselves. After years of dealing with rude people (and family members) telling me things like “if you ask me ‘what’ one more time, I’m going to put my foot in your ass!”, I just decided to give up on conversing with them. I resort to short answers like “uh huh” and just leave the conversation. If you don’t have the patience to talk with me and are mean and rude, I’m not going to talk with you.
My therapist asked me to create something “motivating” so I made these.
lol.
I really love these, and I reblog them every single time. Some of you don’t realize how easy it’s to forget to do some of those stuff or how hard they can be some days.
@instarection
have you ever tried describing what it is like to have depression to someone without depression?
“yeah I get sad sometimes too”
“my dog died once and I got really depressed”
“one time I started crying for no reason”
if only it were that simple.
For anyone taking Prozac...
I recently started taking Prozac and I’ve started having really vivid dreams, which wasn’t really a problem except they’ve started to blend into reality and it’s hard to remember what really happened and what was a dream, which is seriously disconcerting. Anyone else have this issue?
it’s been nine months since I started prozac and I have a hard time separating dreams from reality... but I like it because I never had pleasant dreams before. I always had nightmares but now I dream in yellow.
