Iron Lung- "A Pale White Horse" part 1
Was gonna hold off until I was all done to post these but it turns out I like hearing myself talk and I wanted to talk about my chosen symbolism and stuff, because it might be vague since there were not a lot of references for some of the events in question.
First one is the Last Tree, and I wanted the stars to be falling with it's leaves and the "Children of Eden". Only way I could really show those silhouettes were the children was the round glass seedlings tied to their wrists or held in their hands like Simon.
Second is Filament Station. No idea what the station is supposed to look like and I am no sci-fi artist so I did vague... space station-y shapes. I sure know how to draw an explosion though!
For the third panel, I had a clear image of the final leaf of the Last Tree falling from the tree to pools of blood underneath. I am no animator unfortunately and had to sum up all my thoughts into one still image, so I wanted it to be a tattered and orange leaf instead of the verdant green of the seedling. The pools of blood represents the people killed to become the soil and not the blood of the Blood Moon.
Tl;dr I try to be fancy with symbolism. Next up: I will finally actually draw Simon.
