Davina would never call herself the second mom friend of the group, but she wouldn’t mind taking the label of “fun, cool wine aunt.” her advice is never as positive or productive and fit for a motivational poster as Joy’s, but she does always try her best to help her friends out with their problems. Because some days things just aren’t going right and you need to just have a margarita and forget about it for a bit.
Relationships get messy. Davina tries her best to just be normal in them, but so often does she find that after a while, she and her partner have become so similar in their likes and dislikes. And maybe it’s just because she’s got such good taste that they end up like that, but Davina always wonders if she’s accidentally influencing people into liking her more so they’ll stay with her. It makes dating hard when she wants things to be a little more serious because she never knows if its real or if they just like her so much because she’s convinced them that they should. She doesn’t know if its her powers or if that’s just what happens in relationships, but she doesn’t want to risk it. She’d hate for it to be her powers and to have been basically manipulating them into liking her.
Hookups are fine though. Her biggest issue with those is she doesn’t need to be tangled up in some relationship scandal drama. As much as she love gossip and she loves to watch it fly, there’s something that gets to her when she’s the target of those rumors. Especially if there’s any sort of criticism. She definitely does do her best to clean up any unsavory rumors about herself as quick as she can. For her social media presence, and because there are some things that she gets up to that she’d just rather her friends not hear about. Especially from some random troll on the internet.
As much as Davina wants to move out and try to be on her own, the thought also terrifies her. Just a little. And she doesn’t know if that’s Felix’s fears being projected onto her since he’s the only one who knows or if she’s really unsure about it all. She knows she wants to do it, but to be somewhere with someone who doesn’t know about her powers or understands that she does often mean well even if her methods aren’t perfect is just a tad stressful. But she does want to do it. She needs to. For herself and her career.
Obviously, Davina loves fashion. She doesn’t always follow the most popular trends, but she does have a strong sense of what she likes. She’ll make trends, she’ll break them, she’ll do whatever she wants, and she’ll do it confidently. With or without her powers, Davina is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to standing out.
All that being said, she still won’t go out without her makeup, hair, and outfit all being perfect. Just because something might not be “on trend” doesn’t mean she doesn’t have standards.
If anything, her standards for herself are impossibly high. Higher than they are for anyone else. She tells herself she has to be perfect, even if she doesn’t really know what that means. She doesn’t hold anyone else to that same standard, even if it may look like it in her commentary online.
Davina loves social media. Obviously it’s part of her job, but she just loves scrolling through everything and seeing what people create. Sometimes she does get a little annoyed when she sees someone come up with a better trend or follow some viral makeup tutorial better than she could, but it’s still fun.
When it comes to “haters” or people who just trash on Davina online, she tries to not let them get to her. But there’s a part of their words that always hit a little too close to home. And it always makes her wonder if she’d have any of the support she did if it weren’t for her powers. She sometimes wonders if anyone would like anything she did if she was just a normal version of Davina Bonney and not “Disgust."
Her intentions are usually good, she’s just terribly honest and blunt and will always let you know what’s on her mind. She’s nice, but people always see her as a bit of a snob or a bitch. And honestly, there are times she’s okay with that.
Davina is crazy picky when it comes to most things and she’ll immediately let someone know she doesn’t like something or someone.
If you wrong her or her friends, or cross her, or somehow do something to end up on Davina’s shit list, you will never get off of it. She’ll hold a grudge until she’ll die. Never forgive, never forget. (Though of course she’s found some exceptions to the never forgive rule. but she will absolutely never forget that you wronged her.) and if it happens again, she’ll make your life hell.
green is her favorite color, but she’s got a soft spot for purple as well.
And as much as her friends can get on her nerves, there is nothing Davina wouldn’t do for them. She’s got a lot of big sister energy where nobody can mess with her friends except for her.
