sollux angelic actions:

- restored the weird tech artifact that aradia dug up as a favor to her

- tried to rebel and save the world when aradia told him that sgrub would destroy it

- asked terezi to be the leader of the red team because he likes her and respects her abilities

- served as tech support for the rest of the trolls when they asked

- let kanaya drink his blood for free

- blew up his own head with his psionics accelerating the meteor so everyone else could escape from jack noir

- left vriska’s pirate crew because she was doing dubious stuff and it “made him feel dirty”

sollux transgressions:

- killed aradia (someone else took control of his mind and made him do it against his will)

- sent karkat that virus that exploded his computer (apologized and tried to warn him about it)

- tried to vaporize eridan (deserved)

- ?????

i think sollux is actually a very well-written example of a guy who is fundamentally a good person but is just mentally ill and an asshole

well yeah being a “good person” by troll standards is different than being a “good person” by human standards i don’t think most of the trolls fit the human idea of being a good person just by virtue of the world they live in but sollux’s only crimes involve like, exhausting self-hatred and being easily irritated. he’s pretty well-liked, he apologizes when he does something wrong or mean, he helps people out when they ask. if we’re judging his soul in the underworld i think it would be lighter than the feather because everything he did and said to eridan was karmically deserved
