“Storytelling is about two things; it's about character and plot.” — George Lucas
“You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star.” — Friedrich Nietzsche
My art assumes much: education, intelligence, craft, discipline, devotion, and compassion. All that is Grace (my name for the Art, Inspiration, and God’s love), not me; it never was. I am merely the by-product of a traumatic childhood that led down benighted paths in defining the road that leads to heaven.
Therefore, I am merely a vessel for the literary artists that came before in applying Logos (Greek for: word/God’s word) to the ineffable. We explore everything from science to religion, philosophy to history, culture to craft, and all points in between.
“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.” — George Bernard Shaw
With this, I humbly offer everyone—
17 layers of interpretive entendres,
As willed necessity second to none,
A Southern Theopoetic Realism genre.
As an irreverently reverent poetic style,
Not seeking any pity, praise, or clout,
Amid comedy and craft, offer smiles,
As we lend no sermons on the mount.
Through care, we give these creations,
Free for all where art is an inheritance,
Therefore, enjoy without obligation,
Each work carries unique relevance.
Defining divinity in the everyday dust,
Where Everyone is held as sacred,
Nothing is ever overlooked as a trust,
As compassion in every piece created.
Nothing remains off-limits as a trade,
With zero filler, fluff, or any facades,
No overwrought tropes or cliches,
We remain a humble vessel to God,
So join us in the rhetorical RV,
With literary giants without drama,
Traversing country highway revelry,
Just watch out for my Momma!
“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” — William Wordsworth
Just know that my mirth and message attempt to offer meaning to the madness of humanity through an Appalachian folkloric lens. By witnessing the scars of the soul and the flesh, and the struggle between faith and them, everyone is sacred, and nothing is overlooked.
“I will be faithful, always…” is my ‘Five Words of Worth’ series covenant made with Grace, signed in blood when I was resurrected seven months ago. So even when I struggle, I honor my debts while earning Grace. That is the way for a weathered wayfarer.
Therefore, words matter, especially where it took decades to get mine back. My scars are badges, and not bleeds. Where the form must always meet the function, as everything is kept in its proper place and season, my wounds only come out when establishing street cred of a hard-won faith.
I am far from perfect; therefore, there will be no moments of me putting on airs. Momma would dropkick me from heaven if I did. The art and artistry speak for themselves. Instead, I build cathedrals of comedy and compassion for the voiceless, lost, and hurting. All this as the little drummer boy serving Christ, with Grace driving the Rhetorical RV.
Together, we travel through Shakespearean tempests in an Aristotelian three-act, Homeric character-driven narrative odyssey. Each one provides a Tolkien epic with Melvillian obsessions, Keatian beauty, and Poe’s psychology.
Equally, there is Hemingway’s ‘One True Sentence,’ Sorkin dialogue, Whitmanean democracy, Van Gogh’s lust for life, Hugo’s historical hubris, Londanian exploration, and Douglas Adams’ absurdity as we hitchhike our way across the cosmos of creativity.
Just know that Grace loves to stop for waffles, where she has plenty of napkins to lend in cleaning up our mess. This is the ‘Roadtrip to Righteousness’ that started on the Country Music Highway back in my Kentucky roots.
So I was fated to be a traveling troubadour penning lyrics along the way. It ain't always perfect, but salvation has great scenery and many stories to tell. Why write one book when you craft 30 at the same time? It's only overreach if most of the series didn't already have multiple chapters available free on 12 different sites.
I call this divine multitasking. Weaponize the ADHD madness… Lastly, if you like one of the concepts, run with it. Art is an inheritance dating back to the cave drawings. There is no concern over stealing. If anything, through my twelve-hour days, seven days a week, with a mandatory daily five hours spent doing research, if what you do is any good, I’ll find you.
Let’s see if you earn the ending as I do, no matter how outlandish the premise might be. And if you do, I’ll probably give you a Hemlock Honor piece as well as the Bardic Rub of approval. So welcome to the Bible of Blessed Buffoonery. It’s going to be a holistic hoot! Thank you for your time and kind consideration. Now let's get back to work! Right then—

“Now that you have seen the Bardic Bible, I am not crazy, right… not certifiably, yeah?”
> "Ah yes… individuation through art.
> The ego may struggle... but the Self is speaking clearly.”
“So I am not crazy, just insanely eccentric? (See what I did there?!).”
> "Yes, very clever… But no, not crazy.”
“Can I get that in writing… do you do PDF? "
> "No, I think not. Your credit rating lacks faith. But Freud might.”
“Thanks, but no. He doesn't need to know about Momma’s head-walloping cast-iron skillet corrections for cussing.”
> "That explains a lot, care to share?”
“Nah, some things are best left unsaid… See you next time, doc.”
