Worked on an animated typeface with my bud Riki. I’ll be sharing more of this soon.
Something woody is coming.
Boing swish bim bam bop.
I have been putting together a collection of animation I like over on another blog.
Check it out!
Pigeons are both disgusting and charming. I'm going to be making more of these. #animation #pigeon #birdsofinstagram (at London, United Kingdom)
I had the pleasure of seeing Fat Freddy's Drop at the Brixton Academy on Thursday night. Such a great band, sound and energy. Especially Joe 'Hopepa' Lindsay who did not stop shaking his diamond studded shorts. #fatfreddysdrop #brixtonacademy #bays #hopepa #trombone #animation #dance #boogie (at O2 Academy Brixton)
Hey! #animation #walkcycle #blueman #bluemangroup #character
I have been doing a bunch of animation recently, which is great. I’m going to try and do more and keep posting things up to bring this buh-log back to life!
Eyvind Earle was an American artist, and background painter for Disney. His work is absolutely stunning, and I can’t stop looking at it, so I thought I’d share it. He also wrote some pretty great poetry.

I decided to draw a log. I then turned that log into a pattern. I then turned that pattern into a wallpaper. Trying to improve my photoshop brush skillzzz.
Another bit of work for Rise. This is going on the menu at the evening event. We thought the style we went for on the previous poster was working, so why not go for it here as well!
Here's more of the stuff we've been working on for Rise. It's branding that's mainly going to live online so we treated it all a bit like TV stings. We wanted something that was flexible, fun and could work well with moving image as well as photos.
Some of these are just the screenshots we had along the way as we experimented with colours/type, but it gives an idea of how it started to come together.
Simon and I have been working on some new brand bits for LifeSpring, which is Simon's church. They're starting a new service for younger folk called Rise, so we've come up with a bit of branding for it.
I did this poster for the launch, but we've also been working on animation and film bits as well so there's lots to come from this one.
I started putting together some playlists of some of my favourite artists. Each one is around 12 tracks, and features songs either by the artist, influenced by them, or perhaps something that influenced them along the way. It's good fun putting them together, so hopefully others can enjoy them too and learn a bit about some seriously talented music makers.
Up first, Madlib!
