“My Egyptian grandfather travelled to England on a scholarship shortly after Word War II. There he met my Austrian grandmother. Even though the war was a tragedy for the world, it still brought unlikely people together in the strangest yet most romantic ways. There are accounts where they say they met in a school where they were both learning English, but the stronger one was that she used to work in a clothing shop in order to make a living and they met there.
