Quick SS of my friend Neel. I like the gritty look by increasing the clarity and the natural composition of the image. I’d like to be at a lower angle so you can get a greater sense of how high in the air he is.

Long exposure shot of downtown Cedar Rapids over the Cedar River. Saturation increased and temperature decreased to create a faux-split tone effect without actually split toning. I would change the angle if I had to take this picture.

An example of pure straight photography done in black and white. Taken in the KSP television studio just minutes before a live broadcast. The facial expression and posture radiates a feeling of stress.

Lines on Lines on Lines. What I like about this picture is the horizontal nature of the line work. Horizontal stripes, shoulders, and wooden construction. Black and white helps simplify the content. If I could take this picture again I would be more mindful of making the lines all parallel.

My best friend and adventure buddy Neel is the subject of a lot of my photographs. His dark outfit works especially well as contrast for black and white pictures.
