Without much warning a two tailed calico cat falls from the ceiling of the attic. There is no hole in the ceiling where the cat fell from, yet here they are...
The cat tries to land on their feet, but they get a bit disorientated and fall on their side instead.
The cat lays there for a moment, tails flicking in annoyance, before they get up with a huff and look around.
The cat has a red collar with a golden tag and silent gold bell.

Dawn jumped when the little cat fell through yhe ceiling. “Where did you come from sweetheart?”
The cat looks up at Dawn, as if studying her for a moment. It gets up after that and flicks it tails as it sniffs up at her.
"Mau"
The cat doesn't step closer, but it does look back up at the ceiling, back at Dawn, and does the equivalent of a shrug for a cat.
“Well mau to you. Are you hungry little one?”
The cat pauses at that, tails flicking cautiously. If Dawn knows the body language of cats well enough she'd know the cat is wary at the offer of food.
It does step closer after a minute, sniffing Dawn again.
...
It eventually nods with a quiet meow.
There's something strangely very human about this small cat.
“Do you like chicken sweetie? I’ve got some extra leftovers you make like.”
The cat stretches up its paws onto Dawns knees with a small chirp. That would be a yes.
Its eyes are a pretty golden hue, almost enough to appear as if glowing.
“Wonderful, come here.” She picks the cat up and goes into her cage to set the kitty down in the kitchen.
“Duvet, honey! Can you get the warm blankets?”
“Okay mama!”
There’s a thudding sound as something is running around upstairs
The cat tenses at being picked up, but tolerates it.
When sat back down the cat just sits and watches, before startling and visibly jumping at the thudding sound.
It's on edge, but trying to ignore that feeling ot seems. It tries to distract itself by grooming its fur.
As Dawn busies herself with prepping the chicken for the cat a tiny head pokes down from the stairs
“Mama I got the blankets! Kitty!!”
The cat is busy grooming its tail, and keeping a subtle eye on Dawn as she prepares the kitchen.
It turns its head to the person at the stairs and stares at them. It still keeps looking back up at Dawn occasionally, observing both people that it doesn't know.
“Yes sweetheart it’s a kitty. Can you put the blankets down for it please?”
“Okay!”
Duvet quickly comes down the stairs and plops the blankets infront of the cat.
“There you go! Can I let you now?”
