Post public relationship someone asks Shane and Ilya who made the first move and, without thinking, they both go "I did" which leads to them being outraged at the other one and any witnesses finding out way more than they ever wanted to know about how they got together.

Shane's like, "I was the one who introduced myself to you!" With Ilya replying "yes, but I made it romantic!" And normally Shane would never admit this under penalty of death but Ilya just engaged his competitiveness over who's responsible for their relationship so he immediately throws back, "romantic? Oh, please, you jerked off in front of me and you only did that because I was already hard." Ilya then, of course, comes back with, "you wouldn't have even been in that shower if I hadn't booked you for that commercial! And you were ready to pretend to forget it until I came to your room and kissed you."

And everyone else is just sat there thinking... I'm sorry, what happened??

We love to call Neil oblivious or dense for not noticing he was in a slowburn romance with Andrew but how many of us were smacked in the face with the “that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t blow you”the first time you read it then of course you go back and reread and andreil was very obviously there the whole time you just get so caught up in thinking like Neil Josten that you also become oblivious so props to Nora for that

there's a theme that comes up again and again in aftg. something about telling yourself lies and making yourself believe them to make life bearable. jean tells himself that he deserved his suffering, that he had earned it by being who he was so that he can go on without being crushed by the unfairness of his life. andrew tells himself he feels nothing and wants nothing so that he wouldn't have to deal with the pain of losing people. kevin tells himself that exy is the only thing that matters so that he doesn't have to process the emptiness in his life and what he has lost. riko tells himself that he's important, calling himself king, because no one else in his life was ever to going to tell him he mattered. jeremy tells himself he's a shitty person who needs to redeem himself so that he doesn't have to think about how he's being held hostage in his own life to other people's expectations of him.

Okay, I might be pulling this out of my ass but since that finals match was in Evermore that means the foxes should have been wearing their white away jerseys. Which means: the final match was a game of chess.

Not only are they wearing white, but they have first serve (Dan won the coin toss), and near the end the Foxes' king (Neil, because this is a battle between Riko and Neil) changes positions with the tower (Matt, a defenseman that towers over most people) creating the illusion of a castling.

And right there at the end, Riko attempts to kill Neil because they're in front of each other, but that's not how kings work. In the time it takes him to take that step, Andrew closes the gap and strikes. Check mate.

Neil and Andrew are like geese. Loud and mean and violent but with undying adoration for their mate. I once knew this goose who very much did not like me but one day his goose wife decided I was chill and that she wanted to hang out with me. Goose husband, of course, did not want to be away from his goose wife because he followed her everywhere, and since his wife followed me everywhere that meant he had to deal with me but instead of attacking me like he used to he would just kinda goose mutter-hiss at me from a couple feet away because although he didn’t fuck with me his wife did so he agreed to let me metaphorically come clubbing with them for Halloween

Along with this, geese also have a lack of regard for the government and a lust for crime
