Hey @ofmc-twc , after months (with breaks for RBB drawings) of carving away millimetre by millimetre it's finally finished and printed! I'll try to do as many prints as I reasonably can today and bring them with me to Glasgow. I'm also considering ordering stickers of this. :)) I'm so excited!

Didn't touch lino until Nov. 22 again. So this is 13 year old me learning something new.

Sweet Dreams

A Linocut

I was trying to force some peace of mind into my troubled brain after Christmas. It's never an easy time for me but my brain decided to be nasty to me this year. It felt fake and wrong and lonely.

So, I decided on meditation through art via depicting the calmness I did not feel, the comfort I longed for and the feeling of everything is fine that has been lacking from my entire life.

It's a lot of responsibility to put on a tiny linocut (10,5x6,5cm) of a sleeping cat but here we are. It did help. I calmed down. I feel a bit more stable again. May this kitteh bring you some peace as well.

Happy Holidays and a wonderful new year! If that is too much to ask (let's be real: everything is a bit shit), may you be safe and live to see another day for as long as possible.

As soon as I saw the promo picture for Owain and Henry , I knew it had to become a linocut.

Michael Sheen has such an intense presence, even in merely a photograph, that I keep looking forward to this play. Hopefully it will be streamed at some point because I don't think I can just hop on a plane to Wales.

My grandfather died.

In the past two days (nights really) I made this linocut of him, as a way of finding closure.

My feelings for him are ambivalent. I admire him as an artist, musician, creative thinker and craftsman; yet at the same time these same accomplishments hurt me time and time again because I was never good enough, never met his standards.

So, I made art about the artist and for once I don't have to face his criticism.

This is the first testprint. I see some areas that need a few adjustments but overall I'm satisfied with the results.

Below is the same print but digitally cleaned and polished. When I have a proper print, I will reblog this on my art account @daydreaming-realist .
