This picture gives tips that will help in case a troll is harassing somebody you know or yourself. What to do and how to react to them.
This left me in shock as the mean tweets posted by online trolls are read out loud to the women in sports journalism. Its one thing to read it yourself, but to have it read out loud really is hurtful.
Trolls are turning social media and comment boards into a giant locker room in a teen movie, with towel-snapping racial epithets and misogyny.

Online harassment led to a rare show of solidarity between Marvel and DC Comics, and a whole lot of milkshakes.
This is an interesting article showing the solidarity between rival comics DC and Marvel against online trolls. Also shows a sign of support for women in the comic book industry.
Stopping the Trolls
A few years back, I was attacked by an online troll. This is what caused me to have a private Instagram account. After watching the Women Fight Harassment video with Katie Couric it brought back those horrid moments. I was not attacked on a level as Anita Sarkeesian with bomb threats or revealing personal information (Women in the World, 2017) but to a level of discomfort and a little bit of paranoia. The women on that stage are taking a step in the right direction for all women online. I have always felt that a troll was a person that going through personal turmoil and it was in-fact proven with research by Stanford University. The research offers evidence that, under the right circumstances, anyone can become a troll. (University, 2017) I never found out who the troll was, or why I was chosen as their victim but I know that it lead me to want control over who I let into my online life.
