OH AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THEIR OPINIONS ABOUT FEMINISM. there’s this one girl in a serie they’re watching, and she’s vegetarian and a feminist, which apparently is a fucking problem for them. my brother said “oh yeah she’s so annoying she’s such a feminist” like you can not be for real right now. and then when she talked about why she was vegetarian he was like ughhh not this again. as if it is not scientifically proven that being a vegetarian is much better for the climate, and the world would actually be a better place if we were all vegetarian, because the meat production has a big effect on the climate change and also everything that lead up to the production, like making the food for the animals (take soy beans for example, they’re cutting down rainforests to make food for animals to then slaughter those animals for us to eat). call me annoying but i stand by this.

i gotta rant a little. i get so annoyed with having only brothers sometimes. like i have 4 brothers and i’m the only daughter, which makes my parents always expect me to be the most mature or the most orderly. and all of the times my brothers just gang up against me to try to piss me off and my parents don’t really care because they don’t notice. whenever i express my feeling or my thoughts my brothers laugh and never take it serious. if i’m trying to talk about the climate change, they get soo annoyed and sigh and roll their eyes at me, and their sense of humor is just so tiring. they make fun of me for having my little interests as hannibal or twd and whenever i try to talk about it they tell me to shut up. their only sense of humor is like bringing other people down, they joke about peoples disabilities or diagnoses, like for example i’ve heard them multiple times make fun of people with down syndrome and even more times call people autistic or acoustic (which is another word for autistic that people started saying after some tiktok thing) just because they are slightly different than the norm. there’s this whole thing at my school where instead of saying “stupid”, people say stuff like “autistic” or “downie”, and i just think that is so disrespectful, and they’re not even thinking twice about it. theyre putting people down and they’re only doing it for some laughs. and then they go and say stuff like “oh but i dont mean autistic as a bad thing it’s just what we say” and i say well maybe you shouldn’t say autistic then maybe you should just say stupid, and they go “but that’s not funny”. and that’s when i wonder if everything really has to be funny all of the time or if it is better to be kind to people. they call people npcs without even knowing that it means non playable character, which is quite literally the opposite of people who are different from the norm, and when i tell them that, they simply call me stupid and say that i wouldn’t understand, because apparently on tiktok npc is another word for weird. they go after anything or anyone that is slightly different and i am just so tired of it. they laugh at me when i tell them that i don’t wanna walk alone at dark because i have a fear of being kidnapped, they say “it’s not that deep”, but they’ve never experienced the fear that comes with being a woman. and then when i do actually get so mad at them that i decide to tell them so, they just keep on laughing and try to rage bait me because they think it’s funny when i’m mad. i’m just so very tired of some men, and don’t come after me for this bc i said SOME men. obviously not all men. i’m upset and annoyed by the kind of men that laugh in class when we’re talking about rape, or the kind of men who laugh about people with down syndrome, or the kind of men that act as if they’re always right and have the right to do anything, simply because they are a man.

ooh the concept of character a saying “i can’t wait for you forever” as a response to character b not yet for example knowing how they’re feeling, or that they’re not ready not a relationship etc. and character b responds “i know, i’m counting on it” because they know that they will never be ready, but they don’t have the strength to be the one to walk away so they are waiting for the other one to finally get tired and leave. knowing that it will end, and the longer you wait the more it will hurt, but still not ending it because maybe it’s worth it anyway, like trying to slow down our lives even though we all know we will die eventually.

idk if it’s just me but i’m reading the atlas six right now and i love books with different povs especially when they’re not all fond of each other because then it usually goes more into peoples relationship with each other. but i also feel like it is easier to switch between liking or hating a specific character when you get both their thoughts and other peoples thoughts of them. like say libby for example, she’s doesnt really like callum, so when you’re reading her chapters you get her view of callum and you also don’t like him. but then when you read callums chapter you find it harder to not like him ?? which makes me lowkey like and also not like every single character in the book. another example is parisa, i don’t like her very much bc she doesn’t seem like a very kind person and how she’s always thinking about how she can best use a person to get information or for her benefit, but then when i read her chapters, i find it harder to hate her bc you get everything from her perspective, and it makes sense to her so when you read it it feels like it makes sense ??

rewatching hannibal when you what going to happen and what people are thinking in that exact moment really makes it much more obvious for how some characters express their feeling. like you understand what they’re thinking and what they’re going to do which makes you better able to understand why they do certain things in certain situations.

the way will is right about hannibal not wanting anything in his life that isn’t him. because he makes sure that mason kills the baby he and margot was going to have, and also kills abigail, who was at times like a daughter to will, in a fit of rage to punish will for betraying him. he makes will distance himself from everyone and tries to make himself the only person will wants to and can trust. he even goes as far as to send a killer after his wife and her son. and then in the end will forgives hannibal for all of it, realizing that he doesn’t seem to want anything in his life that isn’t hannibal. they are like two sides of the same coin, and nothing or no one else will ever be quite able to understand them as each other. he leaves his wife and her son to run away with hannibal, deciding that a chaotic and unsure life with him is preferable to the calm life he had before. because both will and hannibal carry the same kind of darkness inside them, the chaotic but structured one that can only be understood by someone who has felt it.

abigail hobbs meeting someone who doesn’t blame her for helping her father kill those girls, but instead understands and supports her. not supporting her in a way that they believe she’s innocent, but supporting as in knowing what she has done and not let it change their view of her. abigail meeting hannibal who understands both her and her father only for him to end up killing her the way his father intended, when that wasn’t even the plan from the beginning.

i do not think that hannibal lecter or will graham can really be considered evil, but idk if that’s just me. i mean will graham certainly isn’t that guy sacrificed his own mental health to save other people and he’s genuinely the sweetest ever like?? hannibal on the other hand.. i wouldnt say he’s evil, there’s the whole “eat the rude” thing, and i for one am very much supportive of the “punish the evil and rude”, maybe that makes me a terrible person, maybe not. i just don’t think anyone who is truly evil at heart is able to love like they do, both each other but also other people around and the world.

one thing i’ll never get over is how some of the twd episodes are named so perfectly with so much thought. like for example we have 07x01 “the day will come when you won’t be” which is a throwback to when they were at the research station (?) and jenner told them “the day will come when you won’t be” as a response to rick saying he’s grateful that jenner let them live. and the reason 07x01 is named that is because it is such a terrible loss and moment for them all that it is the day some may have wished that they had died that day instead, because it is the beginning of their fight against negan and his people. and also 09x15 being called “the calm before” because for a little while everything seems like it’s going well and everyone is happy, and then 09x16 being called “the storm” as it brings a big snow storm. so together it’s “the calm before the storm” which i think is just so perfect. also 04x01 being called “30 days without an accident” and 04x02 being called “infection” like what is this foreshadowing bro. and 05x12 “remember” right before 05x13 “forget” i just love it.
