PARKER HALLIWELL,
DEFUNCT WITCH
no, i'd rather pretend i'm
something better
than these
broken parts pretend
i'm something other than this
MESS
that i am
“I’ve tried every excuse in the book, they just don’t work anymore,” Mel told her cousin with a shrug, knowing that from personal experience. “I’m pretty sure everyone in here stopped being impressed by the Halliwell thing years ago. In fact, I think people are sick of us pulling that card.”
╰ ☆ “i severely doubt that even death would be a good enough excuse to get out of doing homework in this place,” parker practically huffed. that and it didn’t exactly help that her uncle was the headmaster and that her mother was often just ‘popping in’ whenever she had the desire to do so -- which, when it came to parker, was far too often for her liking. “what about the blonde and hot card? do you think that’ll work for me instead?”
“My point, Miss Halliwell, is that you’re a grown woman who’s allowed to make your own decisions.” Toby answered calmly. “But blowing off your classes doesn’t make it easier on your teachers. If anything, it makes it harder on them knowing that their student is having troubles and not reaching out to them.”
╰ ☆ “can i have that in writing? i’m pretty sure that dear ol’ mother doesn’t quite understand that,” parker grumbled. she loved her mother, but there was only so much smothering one could take before their head exploded. unfortunately for parker, she had long past the head exploding stage. “what makes you think i have troubles? i never said i was having troubles.” not that she would say even if she was, however.
“Five year olds who can submit an essay on time.” Of course there wa sno point in him lecturing the young woman, he was not her father, and he certainly didn’t consider himself as any sort of mentor to any student, but it was almost as if she was asking for it. “No, it doesn’t apply to teachers.” he replied taking on board her sarcasm, “We’re supposed to care you see… but I don’t intend on lecturing you, only warn you, you won’t get away with any of that nonsense in my class this year.”
╰ ☆ “--- ha,” parker was unamused as she shook her head. “well, it should. everyone is entitled to their privacy, just because you’re in a position of power doesn’t give you the right to break that right. kinda unfair if you ask me,” she continued, though she knew that no one was asking. that had never stopped her before, though. she spoke her mind, regardless of consequence. “you speak as if you’re expecting me to be an absolute terror in your class this year.” well... where would the lie be in that? parker was not made for classrooms.
gotta go put on a film then update the main but i’ll be right back so if you want to plot etc hmu because i’ll be around all night annoying the hell out of rory because why not!!
╰ ☆ Did you see MELISSA BENOIST roaming these endless halls? Maybe it was just PARKER HALLIWELL. SHE is TWENTY-THREE and is known to be a WITCH. They are known for being DAUNTLESS but when the tables are turned they can be RECKLESS.

i read something somewhere about how parker was conceived when phoebe and coop had had their magic stripped so, while parker is of magical blood genetically, she has no access to it nor can she really use it
lowkey hates her parents because of it
bitter af about this
has always felt like the black sheep of the halliwell family
is kind of abrasive and blunt and generally doesn’t have time for pep talk like speeches and is more likely to sock someone in the nose than listen to them in these circumstances
despite having no usable magic, her parents insisted on her joining her siblings and family at the magic school tho she hasn’t progressed very far, and is mostly just there to keep phoebe and coop happy at this point
she is efficient with potion making tho, her mind works in a series of patterns, shapes and routines so step-by-step activities such as potion making is a breeze for her
crazy good at math, like genius level math wizard right here
she hates family gatherings because everyone is just like yay magic whereas she’s sat in the corner mostly like the halliwell potato that she is
lives her life with no strings attached, rarely makes the effort to develop strong emotional bonds with other people, often using them to satisfy some need before letting them go once more
can kinda be a bitch sometimes
still bitter af
made friends with the wrong crowd a few summers ago and spends most of her non-school spent hours with them, unknowingly exposing herself to demons who intend to manipulate and use her in an effort to get more information about magic school etc, but she doesn’t entirely care since they’ve promised her that they can 100% unlock her magic and has promised her power beyond compare in exchange for their ‘friendship’
absolutely hates the colour orange and practically takes offence at it’s existence
is closest to her older cousin melinda but even at that she would rather spend time on her own than have to be around other people and pretend that she’s perfectly chill with all the cards that she had been dealt in life
“And perhaps that is why grades are separated by skill and not age?“ he raised an eyebrow at the Halliwell, who was conducting a conversation rather close to the door of his classroom.
╰ ☆ “gotta love being in a class with a bunch of damn five year olds,” parker made a face. it was mostly an over exaggeration but it also wasn’t that far from the truth -- she was way behind when compared to the other eight halliwells. “i thought it was rude to listen in on other people’s conversations? or does that not apply to teachers these days?”
“Have you ever thought that maybe people don’t give a fuck if you’re a Halliwell or not?” Mark asked raising an eyebrow up at her as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Seriously no one cares, do your homework just like how everyone else has to. It’s sad, that I of all people have to be the one to tell you this.”
╰ ☆ “and there’s the opinion that i didn’t ask for,” parker quipped as blue orbs rolled in their sockets. she knew that no one really cared about the halliwell name anymore, but she wasn’t exactly above using it whenever it may or may not benefit her. “got any other sage advice for me or will i go back to ignoring you again? i’m leaning towards the latter option right now.”
Toby’s eyebrow arched skeptically, not quite able to believe what she was hearing. “Did it never occur to you that being in a place called Magic School would have such requirements? Tests, essays, any of that?”
╰ ☆ “thought never crossed my mind,” parker replied sarcastically, unable to bite her tongue. “besides, it’s not like i want to be here, anyway. so, really, what’s one less essay to mark? you all should be grateful that i’m making it easier on staff.”
╰ ☆ “--- so i told him, this was me caring about the homework that i had apparently not submitted,” parker clearly didn’t care at all, but what that entirely relevant? not really. “honestly, twenty-three and i’m still expected to write a history essay. maybe i should use the halliwell excuse again.”
