Well, even if people say you’re too young, you will maybe reget it, who actually decides that? Even if it wouldn’t work out, you had a great time after all, never forget that. And as long as it feels right, don’t waste any second thinking it could possibly be wrong or too young or whatever reason. I haven’t sadly. I mean, I thought I did, was married for quite some years but in the end it didn’t work out. But I’ll keep my eyes open for that special one. Gonna make sure to tell you the story first. It was, yes. I could never be annoyed by it.

“Do you? I never would have guessed!” Jen teased him with a smile. “Yup. I had to jump on This Is Us, I’d be dumb not to. But now it’s back to me time. - I’ll admit after a few months I was ready for the next one, but since moving here I feel like I can wait until the next House or Once comes along.” Her smile grew at Colin’s offer, “of course. Same goes for you. I’m going to try.” She laughed nervously. “The last time I really danced was for the musical episode. Ballett probably, I’m going to see if Ellie would be willing to fly up once a month and help me. - It’s a big enough space; I might be able to rent it out for events or something.”

The brunette gave him a playful nudge. “Sounds like fun. Then we’ll have to find something to do until all the caffeine wears off.” She laughed, her mood dropping at the mention of his break-up. Jen’s expression softened and she squeezed Colin’s arm. “I’m sorry. That’s got to be tough, I’m here for anything you need. Okay?” She nodded firmly with a soft smile. In an attempt not to sour the mood too much, she pointed out the building where 3C was going to be. “There’s where the dance studio will be! Wanna take a peek inside?”

Colin chuckled along her little teasing. Oh yes, definitely something he had missed. He listened further to what she said about herself and her career and he understood that. After the finish of Once Upon a Time, he decided to step away from acting too. Focusing on his family but never would he have thought it would bring him where he was now. “I do liked you in these roles. You were amazing.” he complimented her. “Maybe we will be able to work together in the future again. Who knows.” he grinned. “Yeah, I mean, I would love to have a helping hand from time to time. I’m sure you would be great at selling coffee.” he said, still grinning a little. he smiled at the ideas she had for the dance studio, though he needed to laugh at the mentioning of ballett. “Okay, I will not do ballett with you then.” he said, still laughing a little. “But I will happily watch you.” he spoke, looking right into her eyes. “And I’m sure people are going to rent these rooms. Maybe do their own dance lessons for whatever.” he spoke. “You know, I always wanted to do proper dancing.” he said. 

Colin gave her a look. “As if we couldn’t come up with something.” he rolled his eyes playfully, knowing too well that they would always find a way to keep themselves occupied. He shook his head when he heard she felt sorry. She didn’t need to. “Oh, don’t worry. Really. It’s fine. I’m fine. And i am here now, ready for a new start.” he spoke, giving her a smile and actually meaning it. He was over his past, he was able to see his kids whenever he wanted but he also needed to move on. “Thank you.” he had stopped walking for a moment, looking at her with a smile. “And same goes for you. If you ever need someone, let me know. I will always be there for you.” and this actually meant a lot to him. When she pointed towards the dance studio, he was quick to nod his head, ready to go. “Yes, lead the way. Show me your place.” he said, more smiling now than before.

Giggling, Jen took the coffee from him. “Thank you.” She took a sip, eyebrow’s raising before she nodded. She took Colin’s arm out of habit as they started walking, quickly falling into step with each other. “Mmhmm, and I went darker again. For a role; but I forgot how much I missed it. It’s less maintenance. It’s going - slowly but things are happening. There are repairs to be done before we open, but I’m excited.”

She took another sip of coffee and hummed. “This could actually give Starbucks are run for it’s money, and no I’m not just saying that. So tell me, how’s the family? Will I be seeing them around here soon?”

As soon as her arm was wrapped around his, he smiled, a feeling going through his body he had missed as well. Everything simply felt so right, so normal. He liked that. “I know, I do check my socila media at times, I am up to date with the way your ahir changes.” he chuckled softly, glancing over at her. “How’s your acting going? Heard you’re taking a little break?” he asked her, now properly looking at her. “If you need any help, let me know, okay? I would love to help you.” he told her with a smile. “Are you going to give proper dance lessons? And what kind of dance?” he asked her further.

He smiled more at her small compliment about the coffee. “Well, I’m gonna invite you over and we’re going to find the perfect taste together. A coffee lover like you could be a real help there. And then I can actually beat Starbucks.” he grinned. When she mentioned his family, his smile fated a little but he was quick to replace it with a new one. “I doubt that.” he spoke, avoiding her gaze for a moment but soon he was back to look into her eyes. “Me and Helen, we’re not together anymore.” he admitted. She was actually the first to find out about it. “We broke up a while ago. Kids are living with her for now.” he gave a nod at the end. The reason why he decided to have a fresh start here. No wonder he would run into his best friend then.

Trying my best, really I am, but I’m not exactly a early to bed sort of person, and worse, I’m not a morning person either. I am and no apologies needed. If it makes you feel any better, I’m not really up to date on very much anything supposedly trendy. I had a fan who wanted me to write a part of my lyrics down, right? But she’d only given me have a line and it didn’t click in my head that it was mine. Now I’m not hearing the end of it. It’s been a few years since I moved around anywhere and I believe that. Probably still be in boxes for a bit, cause my tour starts Monday. Nice to meet ya, Colin, I’m Louis. 

That makes it indeed worse. Well, I guess all you can do then is to drink a lot of coffee in the morning and lucky for you, I’m offering the best coffee in the whole town. Just come by when you have time. I’m glad to hear that, actually. I mean, I can always use the excuse that I am old and I can be happy to know my way around a phone. Not that I am that old, you know? Oh well, isn’t that weird? And funny at the same time. But then, with all the things we have to remember these days, you barely can remember everything, right? Besides, fans always remember things you said or wrote even if you have long forgotten about them. Just see the fun side of it. Well, then you won’t have much time in your apartment. I don’t think it would matter then to leave the boxes there for a little while longer. Good luck with you tour, though. It’s great to meet you, Louis.

The move to Lost Lake was an impulse, like when someone decided to buy a vacation home. Jen immediately fell in love with the small town, the quiet eased her restless soul. She didn’t feel the need to go back to work when she was here, of course making trips back to LA to see her sister.

Having the dance studio was part of the brand new adventure, and she was excited to see where it went. Jennifer was also excited to see Colin, it had been a few years since they had seen each other in person. The brunette couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she walked to the coffee shop, stopping dead when she saw him. “You’ve shaved!”

Chuckling softly at her words, he held out the coffee for her before answering. “Just a little. you know, trying to get rid of my Hook image.” he teased with a little wink towards her. “I got you something. Your first is on me. Hope you like it.” he smiled. “I’m not sure if it tastes good so far, I feel like it’s okay. But I’m trying to find the perfect taste that makes the coffee even more special.” he told her. “Shall we?” he asked, looking into a direction they could head first. “How about you? Your hair grew longer again?” he asked. “And you’re having your own dance studio. How’s that going?” he asked her with a smile while walking beside her. 

It was nice to finally get to spend some time with her again. Like he was back to something he really missed. And it was true, he had missed her a lot. Shooting a show together and basically being around each other every day makes you get used to things and you only find out that you’re missing them when you’re apart.

I wasn’t a big fan of the first season, a lot of the guys were huge dicks. Let me know what you think! We hit it off pretty quick, there were a few bumps in the road but that’s normal in any relationship. I’m sure you have truer fans, I only found out about you from Once haha.

I do believe you when you say that. I assume all of these shows, let it be Love Island, The Bachelor, whatever else they got is all about weird guys being even weirder on tv. But even more congrats to actually finding your love. And if it’s true, it’s meant. It’s more than normal, dear. I do know that I do, but then, it’s not that important what I do or where people know me from. And Hook was my first very big role. It’s okay to be seen as Hook all the time. I can deal with that.

As much as I would love you as hero I think we need more villains, have you watched Gotham? They did such a good job introducing us to Batman’s biggest villains, I think you would be great as Owlman, he is like evil Batman so I can totally see Harley interacting with him in future movies.

Perfect. I wouldn’t want to hit on someone who is happily taken. But, there should never be something weird about giving out a compliment to a beautiful woman. Just because a man says you’re beautiful doesn’t mean he’s automatically hitting on you. Am I? I do like to hear that. I haven’t actually. But maybe I will now. Owlman, huh? Been in rehearsals for over a week and I’ve losing my god damn mind. I suggested just winging tour, but that was a no go when I couldn’t even recognize me own lyrics. I’ve just gotten home to a house still full of boxes and now I’m in a box, ‘cause apparently I’m too knackered to walk properly. So there’s that, anyone up for a box party?

Some dude hit on me the other day and we started talking. He seemed really nice and fun so I gave him my number and last night we went out. It was all fine and cool at first, but when we ordered he seriously had the nerve to flirt with the waitress right in front of me. Like he was staring at her ass and rack as if I wasn’t even there and couldn’t see him. Like, no boy. If you don’t know how to show me some respect, you ain’t worth my time. So I got up and left. Have you ever had a date go this terribly wrong? Or have you had any sort of awkward encounter in general lately?

Colin had been in Lost Lake for a couple days. Enough to say that this town had some classic Storybrook vibes which brought a lot of familiar vibes back to the man. He liked this town, it was quiet, not many people recognized or bothered them. It seemed like the perfect escape for anyone who was trying to find a spot outside the spotlight. And who would’ve thought that out of all he would met Jennifer again here. The one he liked the msot to spend time with on and off set. They always got along so well he he doubted this could’ve changed in the time they hadn’t talked to each other. Though, he tried to reach out for her, it sometimes was impossible with their lives. 

As soon as he was in town, it didn’t take long for him to decide to take over the newly cafe of the town. Not having any experience in that business, he thought it was time for something new. And with a cafe you would always get to meet new people. Waiting outside for it, a coffee in each of his hands, he waited for the blonde to walk around the corner, ready to start exploring the town with her.

Adelade, my love. How have you been? It’s great to see you too. Oh, now that you’ve mentioned it, I finally see it. And I was already starting to wonder why I get this familiar feeling around here. It’s like coming home, right? You’re always chasing the pirate in me, am I right? Seriously, I don’t know if I’m still good at playing the pirate but I would happily try.
