the frown upon the gryffindor’s face when he turns to face her brings jiwoo a wicked kind of joy. she was already succeeding at irritating him. “oh…you think of my opinions as gifts? awh, connor. that’s sweet.” she motions to place a hand over her heart as if she’s genuinely touched by his words, even though she’s well aware they’re full of sarcasm.
her eyes did a quick sweep over the situation at hand that he was referring to. “you make it seem like i actively search for your presence. it’s not my fault you just happened to be nearby.” she knows it’s neither of their fault, and that it belonged to that damned poltergeist. how they ended up near each other when the castle grounds were widely vast? well, that was unfortunately strange. “besides, it’s been a while since we bonded.” bonded—yeah, that was the correct usage of the word.
XX. ━━ she’s evil. of this much, connor is certain, especially to see her smiling so cruelly in the face of his torture. he’s not quite certain what he did to cause her to treat him so poorly, or if she really does just enjoy watching his mood dwindle from bad to worse. so the only conclusion that he could ever come up with is that she’s just evil, plain and simple. on some days, like today though, he wishes she could just give him a break.
he’s tired. he’s allowed to be tired.
“ i’m pretty sure that at this point, i don’t believe you. not with you coming over to berate me every day, it’s like the highlight of your waking hours. ” he snorts quietly. bonding. in all his life, connor is quite sure he’d never want to bond with her in any way, shape or form. “ i think you need a reality check. there’s no way in hell i even want to talk with you, let alone bond. ”
