Due to inheriting a large sum of money from her parents, Violet is quite rich. However, she prefers to live modestly and often gives to charity.

A skilled artist, Violet can often be found drawing on her breaks or off days from work. Her drawings often include Neverland and its inhabitants, though she’s known to draw other things as well. She will also sell her drawings at a cheap price or give them away for free if someone is interested.

Though she’s quite petite, Violet is able to hold herself quite well in a physical fight -- something she was forced to learn due to living on the streets for four years.

Is the adoptive mother of Beatrice Darling, as she found the young girl during her time on the streets.

If you call her Wendy, she will deny that ever being her name. In fact, no one refers to Violet as “Wendy” anymore -- not even her own brothers.

She’s quite protective of her brothers and Beatrice.

Has convinced herself that her time in Neverland was nothing more than a childhood dream, though she will still have dreams of it from time to time.

     Rising from the street corner stood a multi-story (was it two, or three levels, if it had an attic… difficult to tell from outside) structure, formed of wooden posts and a design resembling an old English home. A sign protruded from one of the posts beside the front door. When a breeze passed, the metal would swing, creaking quietly. It read, in an elegant, swirling font: Second Star Antiques. 

     Inside, artificial light created by lamps and strings of lights mingled with natural sunlight, allowing many of the store’s contents to be visible through its windows. The shop was well organized rather than cluttered, lined with a variety of objects and furnishings. Ceramics and glass rested on stands and tables, reflecting and bouncing light sources throughout the rooms. Everything from mirrors to paintings hung on the walls, and the floors were carpeted in a rich red hue.

     Behind a set of the glass panes, laying across the windowsill, was a cat. His eyes were closed, and his fur was the only dust-colored thing in sight. Along his collar, letters were engraved to form a name, although impossible to read while he was laying on whatever followed the word Sir. 

     His yellow eyes appeared when he heard footsteps on the wooden steps leading up to the store’s entrance.

     She enters through the door quietly, carrying a portfolio case in one hand. Though not particularly in need of money -- the fortunate she had finally inherited years ago guaranteed that her family was well off for the rest of their lives -- it was simply wasteful to just let her paintings sit in her apartment, untouched and gathering dust. Thus, Violet made the decision that she would start selling some of them, leading her to the antique store her daughter often frequented after school in hopes the owner would be willing to lend her a place.

     “Hello?”  She hovers near for a moment before noticing the cat in the windowsill. A smile appears on her features, walking over and reaching out her free hand to give them a good scratch behind the ears. It had been too long since Violet had a pet -- before the fire, in fact. Maybe it was time for that to change.

           “ The Denizens. “ Oysters wouldn’t know what she meant, she knew that. Better to keep her head focused. Though, the dormouse realizes fairly quickly the oyster would just run off if she kept confusing the poor thing. Rather than focus too long on it, she opted to answer the next question. “ Something like that. A better than average human, by your terminology, I suppose. “ 

           “...Right.” Was that supposed to be a compliment? Honestly, Violet doesn’t even know anymore. She clears her throat, taking a moment to collect herself before she speaks once more. “It’s beautiful, by the way. The snow. I mean, it’s a bit odd, but... it’s quite nice. Are you causing it? I won’t tell if you are.”

        “ Looking for something? “ Sultry voice echoes through the small pawn shop, the seven-foot-six man still trying to maintain a more gentle sounding facade. Smile on his lip, one might think he were like any other average male– save for the scar along his left eye, the glassy look of the eye itself, and his height of course. “ What brings you in today? “ 

        "Uh... yeah.” Violet forces a smile, walking a bit closer to the man. She hates coming into the place, as the man owning the place gave her the creeps, but it was for Beatrice. “Do you have any pocket watches? Maybe a clock of some sort? Anything with gears, really.”

     “ Humans are oysters. We’re more than that. “ Eyes turn downwards back to the ice as the snow ceases its fall. Palms close, and the snow she’d gathered transforms into a larger snowflake, dropping the flake to the ground. It doesn’t shatter, already crystallized by the time it hits the ground. Dark hues had briefly glowed a light blue, but return to their naturally darkened shade as attention returns to the human.

 “ You don’t seem like the average oyster. Though, originally, the only other one I met was a wild girl who more properly belonged with us than with the others. “

     “What do you mean by ‘we’?” Ask questions first, get scared later -- that’s something her mother always said. Though Violet never understood why when she was younger, it basically became second nature after several years of living out on the streets. It was definitely kicking in now, and the fear would probably only start once she got home.

     “So, I’m an... oyster, but not an average oyster?” God, maybe she was dreaming. This was becoming stranger by the minute.

       Winter flashes with curiosity, snowfall practically painting the top of her hair a white shade. Though, strands appear to truly be turned white. Sapphire-coloured necklace dances on her collar, mostly-dark hair cascading down her shoulders as she looks the other over. Human, she thinks, though something beyond that appears to have happened at least once before. 

     “ Rose… Rose Moraj. “ Miseris told her not to use her Wonderland name for now, even if she hardly knew how to respond to the name she’d only recently learned she had. Roses held a bit of a dark figurehead in her life before, perhaps this was a way for her to regain the power over them, but she couldn’t just admit to it now. She had to play her part well, aide where it was needed, and try to figure out a way to find her home once again. “ You’re an oyster. “ Really, the mouse had to remember that wasn’t what the humans liked to call themselves. “ Or– human, I suppose. “ 

     “An... oyster?” Her eyes narrow, looking at the woman curiously. Really, Violet doesn’t know what the make of her. It’s all just so... strange. An odd part of her had the urge to paint this when she got home, to remember that this was something that actually occurred, though Violet knew no one would believe her. Hell, she wouldn’t even believe herself if she heard something like this.

     “Human, yes. Not an... oyster.” She has to stop herself from stepping forward, afraid it might not be safe if she does. It’s better Violet is seeing this now than when she was a child, as she knows that this would draw her like a moth to a flame once upon a time. “Are you an... oyster?”

Palms held upwards as white particles fell from the sky, cold to the very touch. Though the necklace she wears keeps her from freezing just about anything she comes into contact with, the cold itself still hasn’t affected her since her ‘death’. She’d come back from it, naturally, else the mouse wouldn’t be standing where she is now. Doesn’t mean it hadn’t affected her, the power flowing in her veins finally able to break past the spell.

The snow’s not naturally falling, however. It’s a side affect of her emotions. The necklace may hold her powers together while she learns control, but that doesn’t mean she’s mastered it. Much like her brother, her emotions hold a great connection to her strength. Mally’s always been the more impulsive sort, however. The loneliness she’s felt since being taken from her friends proven overwhelming to her. Yet, as the snow falls around her, she couldn’t help but stare. She’s never seen it before, and it’s beautiful to her. Such a curiosity. 

Though, likely more so for the woman who came near the mouse. She turns where she stands at the unfamiliar scent, eyes gazing over her features, attempting to fully comprehend who might be staring at her. Think before you speak’s not a strong suit, either. Rather she grew up believing you hit first and ask questions later. Thus, her pulling back only confuses her mind all the more. 

      “ Who are you? “ 

It reminds Violet of something that would appear in her dreams about Neverland, back when she was young and naive, where anything was possible. In fact, it was something she’d probably draw now -- snow falling when there was no reason for it doing so. And yet, here it was, before her eyes. Maybe she was dreaming... but it all felt so real.

When the woman addressed her, Violet couldn’t help but jump. God, it was like she was a child again. She’s been through enough events in her life to not act like a scared little girl, so Violet clears her throat and straights up. There, that was much better.

      “I could ask the same of you.”

BIO.

Born in London to an upper-class family, Wendy Darling once resisted the notion of growing up. However, upon being brought to Neverland by Peter Pan when she was 13, Wendy realized that becoming an adult wasn’t such a bad thing after all and happily returned home with her younger brothers, John and Michael. A year later, her life would take a turn for the worse after her parents perished in a housefire while her and her brothers were out for the day, leaving a large fortune that Wendy would inherit upon turning eighteen. This led to them being passed from guardian to guardian, never finding a proper home. They would eventually take matters into their own hands and ended up running away from the orphanage, instead choosing to live on the streets. It was here that Wendy would change her name to ‘Violet’ and eventually found a young girl named Beatrice, called “Boo” for short, that she would take in as her own daughter.

Upon being able to inherit the fortune, Violet moved with her brothers and daughter to New Mythos and has been living there ever since. Now an artist, her paintings often involve Neverland and its residents, though Violet has long since decided that the time she spent there was nothing more than a childhood dream that simply went too far.

One thing about her that is inspiring to me, and hopefully inspiring particularly to girls, is just to see a girl on TV who doesn’t give a shit what anyone thinks about her. She just doesn’t care. As a people pleaser, to be able to play a character who is just really couldn’t care less, I think think it’s really… I don’t know, I think we need more of that.
