amoxicillin and cavulanic acid does not cure or even ready help TB! Makes me so mad to see stupid posts like that going around. Not sure you should be allowed to be a vet pharmacist. TB drug therapies are always multi drug so even if a beta-lactam antibiotic + a bacterial enzyme inhibitor was used as it was in ONE case report it was in ADDITION to second line drug. If you had TB taking dog antibiotics for would only give you antibiotic diarrhea and not cure or control the TB as it would immediately start mutating under mono therapy

TB is a clever bacteria and while financial constraints limits access to antibiotics, diagnosis and good nutrition. Dog antibiotics have nothing to do with TB antibiotic limitations nor manufacturing capacity for antibiotics

I'm currently reading Influenza: The Hundred Year Hunt to Cure the Deadliest Disease in History by Dr. Jeremy Brown.

It's a really interesting read. A lot of the books you read these days about epidemics are colored by COVID. But this one was written in December 2018- over a year before the pandemic started. So you get really focused information on the flu as *the* pandemic threat (and it is. If we have another pandemic in our lifetime, it's probably going to be the flu.)

I highly, highly recommend this book if you are looking for some nice nonfiction/history/science to read.

It will be flu. My PhD was in micro and as three first years we bet on flu Ebola and neipa virus. And while none of us were right about the agent we were right about seeing a pandemic soon.

Finally reading the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and they are in an underground club has suspicious extension cords, old wooden building and limited emergency exits. I’ve listened to enough podcasts to know that next a pyrotechnics display on stage will ignite the flammable cladding just like the Station night club fire and Coconut grove fire unless it’s arson like the Stardust fire or Happy land fire.

Polyurethane foam should be banned in anything more enclosed then a pavilion
