Soft morning with Fenris

What do you guys mean this is not what happened at the landsmeet??
Honestly I loved the whole landsmeet quest, especially researching all the different outcomes of how it can go. But it was one of those occasions where I missed more argumentative dialogue options.. and somehow my mind jumped to Ace Attorney. I don;t have any regrets

You're literally gay??? And it's pride month??? And Israel's our only safe haven in that region???
There's no pride in genocide
it's a very learned behavior especially in americans to believe that arabs and muslims are "evil". in almost any american movie the only arabs you will see are depicted as terrorists. the idea that going into palestine as a queer person will get you killed is a fascist belief forever, something that directly harms POC and LGBTQ alike.
islam and christian beliefs are so similar, being lgbt is against their religion; but christians are depicted as kind and loving and muslims are depicted as terrorists. it's racist and xenophobic, something the LGBTQ+ community should be STRONGLY against. if you truly believe a group of people, including children (and many queer Palestinians) deserves to be martyred because of their religious beliefs preventing homosexuality, i hope you're happy only caring about queer people until they're not white and arab
also... gay marriage isn't legal in israel😓 research pinkwashing please. there is no pride in genocide
daily click vv
Please help deliver support to Palestinian families; all you have to do is to click once a day for free, every day!
Just because some IDF soldiers post a picture holding a rainbow flag over the piles of rubble and murdered Palestinians doesn't mean they doing this one for the gays.
There is no pride in genocide.
gonna leave this here:
constructing Muslims as uniquely homophobic to try to get white gays on board with mass destruction even has a name, coined by theorist Jasbir Puar: homonationalism.

Unexpected civility, Dissent.
This is, I think, the one time Fenris tries to reach out to Anders, and it fucks with me so badly because it’s so obvious that Fenris is relating to Anders’ grief and guilt because Fenris has also been there.
Fenris has killed people he didn’t wish to kill because his actions were not under his own control. He understands this feeling.
And I wish so badly that the two of them could learn to communicate better and to understand where the other is coming from, because they have so much in common.
The sad thing is, Anders is on a downward spiral, while Fenris is on a slow road to recovery. I think this is the point of intersection on that graph.
[emphasis mine] … Imma need somebody to pass Me the blunt because that was the actual realest shit I’ve ever seen on a post about these two.
Once again we have to do what Bioware doesn't do themselves
Like it's literally insane because the chantry explosion is a clear trolley problem, right. People will die no matter what - Meredith sent for the right of annulment, mages were dying every day from her abuses, and she would've absolutely gone over Elthina to enact the right of annulment no matter what, yeah ? Literally the only significant differences that anders' actions caused were:
- a chantry was destroyed and thus caused the death of a dozen templars, one grand cleric, and some civilians
- security in circles across thedas tightened worsening the subsequent mage rebellion
But what it also caused, was that many mages were already out, and the others had time to prepare whilst Meredith launched her assault. Instead of Meredith doing the right of annulment in the form of a surprise attack, everyone was instantly made aware of what happened and was given a chance to either fight back or run.
The terrified mages turning to blood magic and demons in desperation in the face of the templars' attempt at annihilating them would've happened even if Anders didn't blow up the chantry. Except that on top of that, many other mages would've also likely been killed in their sleep, or generally taken by surprise in a preemptively locked gallows.
And it's even a point in asunder that although the chantry boom was a big contributing factor, it wasn't the sole reason behind the mage rebellion. It's been ten years since I read that book though so take my words with a pinch of salt lol but anders was long gone by the time the mages decided to rebel.
It's literally a clear cut trolley problem, with the options being:
-all the mages in the gallows die from a surprise attack
-some templars and civilians die alongside the grand cleric to allow innocent mages to flee and defend themselves
Death would have happened no matter what, and chaos would've ensued. There was an established mage underground before anders arrived in Kirkwall who would've no doubt risen up if Meredith went ahead with her initial plan. Meredith herself would've likely gone berserk and attacked non-mage citizen out of paranoia. The worst thing Anders did was destroy a building and kill a grand cleric, and that's fucking nothing compared to what every PROTAGONIST can do.
Inaction, in the context of da2 and especially it's 3rd act, would've ended un more innocent deaths than anders caused, but would've likely sat better in the players' conscience as an inevitability
"you are the one bright light in kirkwall" says the guy who, at great risk to his own safety and freedom (and probably health), runs an illegal free clinic for the poor and refugees which people are literally told to find by "looking for the lit lantern" I'm so ill. he doesn't even see his own light.
We call it kirkwall fashion
