We attempted to stack Duma
Iāve never stacked a dog before, how did I do??
Sadie got a new name tag and i finally finished patching her new vest I have one more i plan on adding but dang she is good lookin pupper shes with me at doctors office
Evelyn, "Evie", needs your help! Evie is my 4 year old bully breed mutt and she is my heart and soul. On Wednesday, January 31st, she was behaving abnormally, and throughout the night her discomfort steadily grew. A quick nighly ER visit assured us that she had simply pulled a muscle in her back...
I have never done anything like this before. And it makes me massively nervous to be doing it now.
If you know me, you know I hate to ask for help. Thereās a level of vulnerability in it that I am not comfortable with. But this is not for me. This is for my very special Evie-bug, who I would move heaven and earth for. So I have to ask it.
We are a low income family. I have always maintained a savings account for emergencies but I have never expected expenses like this. Ones that would leave me utterly pennyless.
Evie is my 4 year old bully breed mutt and she is my heart and soul. On Wednesday, January 31st, she was behaving abnormally, and throughout the night her discomfort steadily grew. A quick nightly ER visit assured us that she had simply pulled a muscle in her back and she was just in a lot of pain. But come the next morning, her back legs were paralyzed and she could not walk. Rushing her to our primary veterinarian, x-rays displayed issues with her spine, and she was referred to a specialist surgeon an hour away. We took her in immediately where she was diagnosed with a massive herniated disc and was taken without hesitation into surgery. The procedure went well and prognosis is good - with any luck, my girl will regain the use of her legs and live normally in time, assuming her recovery goes along without any complications, but as Iāve often learned, there are no guarantees in life.
The estimated costs of the procedure are $3000-$5000. My dog is worth all of the money in the world to me, but I am simply a hotel night auditor from Kentucky who has ambitions of someday starting a photography business. I need help to cover her costs. This bill was sudden and unexpected and I am struggling, but there is not a cost in the world too great for my girl, especially as she is so young and Iād do anything to ensure she can walk again and live the rest of her life normally, as at 4 years old, she should have many years left to enjoy life and live to the fullest.
All funds donated will go directly to Evieās medical costs. She is my absolute priority, and if it werenāt for her benefit, I donāt think Iād be asking for this help.
Providing the above images because I know Dogblr has been burned before.
The second is just the receipt for the pre-surgery deposit. We do not have a final bill for the total cost of the surgery yet.
Iām trying to get copies of Evieās x-rays as well.
If thereās anything else I can provide, please let me know.
Editing services are also still open. I would much prefer to EARN the finances, but I know there is no way in hell I will be able to earn $3000 worth from photo-editing services. But if you have photos you would like to be edited and are wanting to help and actually get something out of it, that post is: HERE
My girlfriend also takes art commissions and you can reach her at @cryptic-alchemist or @cryptics-grimoire.
I have over 4,000 Followers on this blog. If every single one of them simply gave $1.00, it would cover most of the cost of the surgery. Iām not expecting that or really looking for that, but I am in need of some help. No donation is too small! We never expect things to hit us this hard financially until weāre drowning.
If you cannot donate, I absolutely 100% understand. PLEASE consider sharing and spreading the word!
Thank you so much for everything, Dogblr. Thank you for following mine and Evieās journey and I hope we continue to be able to share our lives together with you for many years to come.
Juggling Evie in recovery with the two Aussies is going to be an experience, but sheās more than worth the effort.

sadie's coat is so preettty C: what kinda dog shampoo do you use??
Because Sadie is a lab I donāt bathe her more than every three months because she has natural oils in her fur for water-wicking goodnessWhen I bathe Sadie she gets lathered down with Burts Beeās Oatmeal shampoo
For her, itās all she needs. For day-to-day refreshing I spray Sadie lightly with CHI dog deodorizing spray before we go out and work.
I use this just to make her smell nice then I brush her out and sheās good to go for the public! The biggest factor in her nice coat I believe is actually her diet.Sheās rotated within the ACANA dog food brand. For Sadie, it has been the best diet I could give her, and solved a lot of diet issues she had with allergies and bladder problems.Ā Aside from making her body function better, her coat is GAWGOUS

a good dog day
hey there!!! im wondering if u have any advice - i have a puppy (a service dog prospect!), he's half labrador and is So Bitey. he's 15 wks and obviously is teething, but he specifically bites me, he drops toys in order to bite me, and doesn't do this with anyone else in the family. he was doing well with learning to have a soft mouth but seems to have totally forgotten it? just wondering if anything similar happened w/ sadie, since i know labs tend to use their mouth a lot
Ā I canāt tell you how many times I had needle teeth puncture wounds because of baby sadie. As teeth begin to grow in, the dog begins to also enter the dreaded teenage phase; aka they know what they shouldnāt be doing but will do it anyway. This includes biting things, i.e. you, an probably other destructive behaviors you thought you already done away with and had no issues regarding.Itās normal, and every puppy has to go through the rough growing pains. When he bites you, make sure you end the play right then an there. Re-establish biting isnāt fun for you, and that ends play-time together. Thus connecting when I bite, the fun ends. This is a pretty rough stage in a puppies life, lot of growth spurts, teeth pains, and testing boundaries so expect some backwards steps but know its very normal!
Itās a blizzard here on the north east; but Sadie is having the time of her life!
