So, initially, I thought of it as a one-shot, but this works too.
Mycroft and OGWilliam interactions and his first meeting with Sherlock (they both hate each other for now but I swear they will get better)
The entire setting is in my OGWilliam lives AU 'Clear skies and butterflies'
In Bartseq, even if Nathaniel is my favourite character and my absolute baby I will defend till the day I die, the Ring of Solomon happens to be my favorite book. I always found it funny that the only book not having Natty boy is my fav book in the series. But the interactions with Bart and Faquarl tho. And Asmira. And the 'twisted' love of Khaba and Ammet. And Bartimaeus cosplaying one of Solomon's wives as a hippo in a skirt. Peak.
Don't get me wrong, I love all the books in the series but this book... this book hits different.

Usually, I would not have posted it here on tumblr (like I said before), but I am so proud of this chapter. They got together yay. Hopefully the rest will take about 2 more chapters, maybe 3 considering the epilogue.

Bartimaeus AU I will probably never write but am asking you to think about or write because this is so interesting:
You guys ever think about Simon Lovelace? I kind of feed bad for him (as he is also a product of the system) and on the other other hand also think he kind of pathetic (imagine a grown ass man having beef with a child around 10 omg, and losing to that child when the child is like 12)
So hear me out:
What if before the incident where he screws up Nathaniel and makes that kid obsessed with him, he kind of has an accident where along with his own memory, also gains, like the memory of his past life, where he was a reader in our world, and now he has 2 sets of memory. Don't get me wrong, he is a dramatic asshole who is still planning a coup. He decides, he won't be messing with the kid (since he kind of respects Nathaniel and also, he does not want to die). He avoids them like a plague, trying to move forward with his plan. Until the same incidents that happened to Nathaniel in the og timeline happens but with another face. Now, somehow in a twisted fate of luck (or badluck) Nathaniel is now under the care of Simon Lovelace and he is panicking tf out. Handling a coup and a kid together, that poor guy. Meanwhile Nathaniel thinks his new master is weird.
Bonus if Simon actually grows as a person a bit. And is a better figure to Nathaniel than Jessica Whitwell ever did. And he gets to live (yay?)
Make him a dramatic cartoony evil lol with a redemption arc (optional). That's hilarious to think about

First time writing Bart for the fic I am almost done with :) and it is just complaints and throwing shade at Nathaniel

(I underestimated how much I needed to write for Bartimaeus, I intended it to be short, help-)
