Charlie and Lu are talking, and Lu accidentally signs himself and Alastor up for therapy. Al wakes up.

Well, yeah. I had fun with Lu and his expressions and struggle :> I think he might have fried Charlies brain with all that. :D

This is a bit of an intermission part, yeah because Al totally needs a bit alone time to think. To regain himself. The next part will be Al centered and his inner thoughts and what he even remembers. :>

But don't worry, Lu is not gone for long :D

Can someone explain to me the "Alastor is going to become Lucifer's executioner" theory?

Because whenever I see it brought up, I can't help but feel like it makes no sense for Alastor. Sure, the fella loves killing people. But we also seen this season he hates being under someone's control and taking orders. He machiavellian his way out of his deal with Rosie. Why would he then accept being under Lucifer? How would being under Lucifer's leash and killing for him be any different from being under Rosie's leash and killing for her? At least he seemed to tolerate Rosie

And, even if Alastor and Lucifer's relationship became less hostile. Would Alastor even feel comfortable being the attack dog of a rich white blond man? I really don't think so.

And, I actually am inviting people to explain this theory to me. Fully willing to hear people out on this. Also yeah I know this is all based on the Alastor from demonology. And I think Alastor does have some interesting connections with it. But I just can't see him becoming the hell's royal family's executioner of his own free will.

It comes off the Dictionnaire Infernal having a figure named Alastor being the executioner in Lucifer's court of Injustice. That's pretty much it. The name "Alastor" originates from Ancient Greece, and at its core it means "spirit of vengeance", which, for the time it was coined, has nothing to do with Lucifer or his court - and everything to do with Alastor being an identity Zeus assumed to execute evil spirits or to name one of Hades' four horses. The name later came to mean any sort of malignant spirit, and only in the 19th century it was used for the Dictionnaire. You're right in saying this theory doesn't make any sense, and it goes for both Alastor and Lucifer:

the executioner theory wants to piggy back the fact Alastor wants power, forgetting that the reason Alastor made the deal with Rosie in the first place was to have enough power to not be messed with ("I don't want to exist as a tortured soul"). He broke free. His staff is fixed. His powers are where they were. Nothing and no one can stop him - Lucifer would have the power to, but he can't kill Alastor because of his punishment

you're absolutely correct in saying Alastor wouldn't want to work under Lucifer, he doesn't like the guy and he. just. got. free!

Alastor doesn't need angeli powers to kill sinners permanently. He was doing that way before the Exterminations started, plus, angel weapons are fairly common, or can be purchased from Carmilla

Lucifer doesn't give enough of a care about sinners to need someone to kill them for him. He can't kill them himself, but they also can't hurt or kill him

this theory completely goes against the message of the show, and Charlie would absolutely HATE seeing her father use Alastor to kill sinners just because he doesn't like them. I think he fucked up enough with her already to add this offense to the plate There's really nothing supporting this theory only than the love of the game honestly. The only way I can see this happening is if Lucifer forces Alastor (which he can't do by threatening death) or if it's a matter of circumstances and the "job" is only temporary without an official title.
