Ryland Grace is Sandy from Spongebob
the trope of the big character being having all the small ones either crawl on them or being able to carry them except it’s Raphael and his brother.
Mikey always clambering onto Raph’s shoulders, laughing at how annoyed he gets or just to be carried around by his older brother. To Donnie leaning against him every time they end up staying up too late working on the project that they hyper focused on that night.
little do they all know that Raph always works out so he’s able to do it, making sure he’s able to handle their large weight.
Leo hasn’t leaned on him or jumped onto his shoulders in years, but Raph still keeps up with it anyway. He doesn’t really know why
and out of the darkness - you you you you you
Sometimes I like to pretend to ask myself a question, I’ll turn my head to the side and speak, and then I’ll turn the other way to respond.
A few frequent questions I ask are like, “who are you?”, “why do you think that happened?”, but one of the more common ones is,
“Do you think one day we will wake up and we’ll be happy?”
And I just had a moment to really think about that question, and I think I sort of have an answer now. I don’t think that my depression will ever really go away, it’ll probably just sit in the very back of my mind waiting for the right moment to strike, like a snake coiled up in my head. But I think I’ll get happier slowly.
I’ll wake up and not automatically dread the coming day. Not get so upset that my shoes don’t tie fast enough or my hair doesn’t look quite right. I’ll wake up and just sit in silence for a moment, wondering what the day will bring. I won’t snap at my mother who I have never apologized to, or ignore my father who I admit I’ve never cared for that much.
I will be excited to see my friends and not dread their personality or their antics.
I won’t be entirely happy I think, but I think I’ll be happy enough to accept that, and be happy anyway.
Harry’s Patronus should’ve been an owl.
What reason would Harry have for his patronus to be a stag like his fathers? A man he grew up knowing nothing about, to have this idealized figure pushed onto his psyche during his first years at Hogwarts? What about Hedwig, his first real friend. A creature that shows his more compassion and love than anyone’s he’s quite literally ever known? What about the internalized longing for freedom, something that is mostly aligned with being a bird trait? What about Hedwigs death being the moment that the idea of being free from it and still living the dream of being a wizard dies?
Harry cared for her so much, sending his only friend away during the summer so she would be safe. She was a beautiful creature, who cared for Harry so fiercely. I don’t know, maybe I’m just crazy, but I guess Harry thought he was crazy too for hoping he could be free from pain.
This man is a good friend of mine, he's known me since I was in a carrier and now I'm almost a full grown adult. He's the type of a guy who loves to be frustrating, a complete nerd, and someone's who's always had a rough time. Any help would be appreciated https://gofund.me/7777a9f17

The innate horror of the Iron Lung. Sending someone down into the unknown in hope for humanity. Only to be met with, again and again, the failure. Searching for hope only to have it run away from you, as if you don't deserve it.
Simon wants- wanted to live. To come back up to the surface having payed for his sins. Instead changed into something much more horrifying than he already was. From the Butcher to the butchered, from the killer to the killed. Being met eye to eye with what possible was something that was just as human as he was at some point. Or maybe still more human than he is now.
The creature stalking him was a cycle, of sending people down into purgatory, only for them to become the very thing themselves. The audio log with the scientist yelling at her companion to stop drinking the blood the human blood, to the image of the SM-8 burst open from the inside, like a birth gone wrong.
Simon himself was changing, he was changed the moment he was sealed inside of that tomb. Him realizing that it really was bigger than him, whether it be a deranged god, or humanities endless hubris.
to everyone reposting this I want y’all to know I wrote this during welding class cause “Iron Lung” by Radiohead played in my headphones lol

Small Iron Lung spoiler here, but there is a small detail I can't stop thinking about.
When the blood starts filling the cabin of the sub...the oxygen levels go up. The blood is bright red + oxygen levels go up? That likely means the blood is oxygenated. The implications of that alone are SO fucking fascinating. It really made me wonder...is the planet itself alive? Is it the creature causing this? Was Simon hallucinating that badly? Was it symbolizing Simon's final decision to save the black box rather than himself because "it's bigger than him" ergo, he's finally able to have a purpose that isn't purely survival and that is revitalizing him? Ahhhh, such a fun little detail that I am so curious of!
My personal take on the situation was the idea that the blood was mutating the sub so much that the sub itself was becoming alive. The Iron Lung was becoming a real life organ, something that breathed, that pulsed, the made its own air because it itself was a lung. You could also take the scene of Simon getting attached to the inner walls as the organ trying to absorb him, either seeing him as a foreign object and trying to rid him from the sub, or it seeing him as something needed healed, something that needed to be reattached to the main organism.
It was Simon literally having this idea injected into his head that it literally was bigger than him, because he was now just becoming a part in a now larger machine.
I don't hate AI. I hate the people using it. Using it despite knowing the environmental consequences, or being ignorant to them. People using it in place of human creativity, something that has been there since the dawn of first mans wakening.
What equates being alive is a question we ask all the time. Consciousness doesn't equate living, that is something that people tend to forget. People can be conscious, can be alive, can say hello to you every morning and talk about their day, but it doesn't mean they're really alive.
AI could be better, it could be used as a proper tool, could be used in a way where it doesn't take away water or air from people. But it isn't, because the people in charge don't want it to be.
I don't hate AI, I just really fucking hate people.
Tmnt imagine where reader is a popular online person doing whatever. But they only post in the sewers or the turtles more obscure lair parts and so all the comments are like “hey, you look great girlie but where TF are you?!”
