Is this what it feels like to walk into your childhood bedroom? ?

Australian Institute of Family Studies report finds men who look after children at home also barely do more housework than mothers doing 35
Australian Institute of Family Studies report finds men who look after children at home also barely do more housework than mothers doing 35 hoursâ paid work
I don't even know what to say about this. How many men know yet alone even care about how much of a burden they're leaving on the shoulders of the women in their lives? Do they realize how devastating their lack of responsibility in housework and childcare is for women and gender equality? That leaving the lion's share of childcare and housework to women is one of the biggest causes for the gender pay gap and women's lack of presence in a lot of professions including politics which just exacerbates all other gender inequality issues?
Most annoying thing is women who treat this as a joke -_- "haha my husband can't even do laundry" ma'am if you don't literally force him I will
âWhen you are washing the dishes, washing the dishes must be the most important thing in your life. Just as when you are drinking tea, drinking tea must be the most important thing in your life. Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole world revolvesâslowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this actual moment is life.â

I was watching Shrek 2 and my wife and I were reflecting on how much transmisogyny was in it as jokes (e.g. âgender confused wolfâ âugly step sisterâ âwomenâs underwearâ etc.) and itâs so extremely ridiculous to me the transphobesâ line that having positive representations of trans people (esp trans women) in childrenâs media would be âtoo confusingâ for kidsâbecause they are literally already making references to trans women in childrenâs media, theyâre just doing it in the most offensive ways possible. Taking away all the empty cis rationalization of it, really theyâre not arguing for kids to not see trans characters, theyâre arguing that kids should see trans characters as demonized, fetishized, objects of ridicule and disgust. Like thatâs literally the subtext in these âhow do I explain this to my kidsâ conversations. They really mean âlet me continue to explain this in ways that groom kids into hating trans people and themselves if they are transâ

another car opinion is that they shouldn't have touch screens
if you need to do something with your car (ex: adjust the AC) you should be able to do it based off of touch and minimal sight; without knobs and buttons for tactile orientation youre ... staring at an ipad while driving? awesome trend we've started
what the fuck happened
This was peak driver ergonomics. 3 Knobs for HVAC. How hot, How Hard, and where do you want it? RAdio is just below windshield level. Headlight switch is big and easily reached by feel alone. Buttons are large, and each one textured differently. You could operate everything without taking your eyes off the road.
Touch buttons on anything are a plague on humanity. There's no advantage, it's just tech bros fellating themselves. It just makes it way easier to press a button by accident.
