its also the year the rpc stops fetishizing abuse and mlm, and stops sexualizing teenage and little boys too. yes that includes the stranger things and it kids you fucking creeps. cut the shit.

2018 is the year the rpc and fan artists stop whitewashing. This will be the year we stop allowing people to get away with blatant antiblack erasure and racism.

2018 is the year the rpc stops accepting, perpetuating, and enabling ableism. No more double-small text in impossible-to-read styles, no more autoplay on blogs, no more 250 px container themes with barely-visible fonts and impossible-to-navigate layouts. This will be the year we stop putting aesthetics over accessibility.

2018 is the year we put an end to the toleration of transphobic ‘trans verses’, rule 63, and cis-swapping in fanworks / the rpc. This will be the year we step up and refuse to give attention to rpers that invalidate trans, nonbinary, and/or intersex characters, muses, and muns.

2018 is the year we stop letting adult muns 18+ guilt minors into roleplaying with them and stop ‘calling people out’ for blocking other roleplayers like it’s somehow ‘wrong’ to block who they please for the sake of curating their dashboard and online safe spaces. This is an escapist medium, being able to call it a safe space should not be considered unrealistic.

Genji stares back at him, upper lip pressing into a thin line against the metal of his lower face. He studies Jesse with an inexpressable, dark something in those crimson, artificial eyes. “It would be nice,” he says, deadly-quiet, “to have a friend to watch my back, this time.” His remaining human hand closes around Jesse’s. It squeezes as firmly as his glitching, drugged state will allow. Genji looks to be on the verge of tears, or rage.

“I get the feeling you understand more than most.”

Jesse definitely understands. It’s painful, honestly, how much of Genji’s pain he understands. He’s often weighed the odds of going into that federal prison, killing That Man with his bare hands. Knows it’d result in him loosing his position in Blackwatch but maybe it’d be worth it. Jesse’s hand is calloused and warm around Genji’s.

“Yeah.” He admits, eventually. “You know. Maybe you can help me kill mine if I help you kill yours.”

He’s only half joking.
