i don’t think it’s “great” or “epic” that a sociopathic b-level meathead celebrity is perpetuating the idea that american people are an intellectually vacant, racist, and uneducated body of people. and yet, I feel so hopeless and sad, when americans who don’t have the means, or the desire, to seek out knowledge and truth for themselves, are showing up in spades at these trump rallies to support an agenda so crude, so ugly, and so stupid.
the job of being the president of the United States is the most important job on the planet. it represents a responsibility more profound and vital that a short 4 year term will have mass implications for many generations that follow it. to even entertain the idea that this disgusting man should have that kind of authority is extremely, extremely dangerous.
I am so sad and disappointed.
White Nationalists are supporting this man, along with David Duke, Tila Tequila, Jeff Foxworthy, Dennis Rodman, Dog the Bounty Hunter, the hayseeds from Duck Dynasty, Sarah Palin, etc. I never thought these people mattered. I never thought these people would be influential. But I don’t understand because I can’t see beyond my own self-absorbed world.
Mass shootings from domestic hands are pretty much a daily phenomenon here and the only response Donald Trump has for that is how much of a little boy Marco Rubio looks like when he stands behind a podium.
my friends from beyond the United States: I can assure you that the rest of the people in this country are not this stupid or pathetic. some of us care for strangers and poor people and refuse to acknowledge that a man who clearly has gone insane has any real intellectual influence over ourselves. Unfortunately, people genuinely think that immigration is the most serious issue in the United States.
I want to be empathetic and understand what causes this belief that Donald Trump is going to solve all of our personal problems, but I’m at a point where I’m too horrified to bother.

I don’t really care if you’re Republican or Democrat. All I’m asking for people is just try and seek out a different candidate who won’t cause the apocalypse if they do want to go to a voting booth in November. I have standards for the people who represent me and I allow that man to ever have any sway over me and the people I love.
