Magic or Imagined?

I thought I post a bubble with a little Hunchback/Disney Realm lore while I'm at it. In the current book I'm writing, the Blue Fairy has a key role in protecting destinies. Regarding the Gargoyle companions Quasimodo grew up with. Imagination or actual magical stone beasts? Some argue imagination of a lonely boy's mind, which is realistic. However, for the sake of magic protecting individuals to lead them to a grand destiny in the future, I am going for the magical wish idea where Quasi was visited by the Fairy when he was only a little boy. He only wished for a friend, and I can imagine that the only friends he could make would be the stone he was surrounded with... and so like how she had done with Pinocchio, she brought three stone gargoyles to speak and move. They would form to still stone again whenever Frollo or others would visit the cathedral belfry. They were tasked of keeping the young man's mind from fracturing from immense loneliness and depression, for he was destined for something incredible later in life as a war would come. They effect the world around them, even causing havoc during the final battle, and Djali was able to see Hugo come to life. Anywho, there you have it!
