Sam realized what was happening and walked backwards slowly until he was against the wall. I don’t care if it took over, I’m not going to hurt you. I promise. I’m still gonna try to save you. He stood face-to-face with his brother before he felt himself being lifted up by his throat.
He could feel his throat constrict painfully. “Dean, you can snap out of this..” His voice was wheezy as if he was trying to get some air into his lungs.
“Now, why would I do that?” Dean asked. “I feel better now than I’ve felt in a long, long time. And soon enough, I’ll feel free once I kill you.”

Imagine this:
Sam goes on a solo hunt and all goes well until something unexpected happens, leaving Sam severely injured. Bleeding out, he calls Dean.
The last thing Sam states before he goes unconscious is “I just wanted to make you proud.”
Time goes by and Sam feels a rough yet gentle hand on his forehead and hears, “You’ve always made me proud.”
He’s looking up at his big brother, who’s wearing worry and a soft smile. And when he starts fading back to sleep, he feels Dean kiss the top of his head.
“Rest up, little brother,” Dean says. “I need my geeky sidekick back.”

Time for grub
Food supplies are low and Sam cooks for Dean and leaves himself out. Dean finds out.

Sam knows that his older brother loves him, but he hates to admit that he doesn’t truly see why. In his eyes, he’s something that needs to be destroyed and defeated like monsters--like the monster he believes he is.
He doesn’t see the number of tears Dean sheds for him.
Sam wakes up a little past dawn and quietly walks to the kitchen to begin preparing breakfast. He has no intention to wake Dean up by being loud and being accident prone. He pulls out the bacon from the fridge on a whim and starts cooking a few pieces on the stove.
When the bacon is cooked and slightly crunchy, he sets the pieces of bacon on a plate and starts cooking the eggs and toast.
He’s not paying attention when he hears a voice behind him.
“What’re you doing, Sammy?” Dean’s sleepy voice calls.
Sam turns to his older brother and smiles shyly, “Cooking.”
“But that’s my job,” Dean looks down at the plate of bacon. “You cooked this?”
“Yeah.”
Sam notices Dean’s lips form a soft smirk.
“Sam, it’s still early and there’s no cases today--”
“Dean, I’m okay,” the younger Winchester states. “It’s no big deal.” He finishes cooking and fixes Dean a plate. “Eat.”
Dean takes the plate and looks at Sam. “Where’s your plate?”
“Oh, uh, we’re running low on grub.”
Dean stares at him before placing the plate on the counter. “So, you’re telling me that you decided to just fix me food but leave yourself to starve?” He shakes his head. “Yeah, no. We’re going on a grub run and getting more food, but you are going to eat before we do anything.”
Sam bows his head down and nods. “Okay.”
“Sit.” Dean demands softly, leading Sam to the table and sitting him down in a chair.
