Long story short, I've been off of work for 5 weeks due to a complicated workplace injury and my worker's compensation isn't exactly covering my rent, so some extra income would be literally life saving right now. I have so much time on my hands right now, so hit me up if you want something!
Willing to draw anything but current fandoms I'm into are: The Pitt, Project Hail Mary, Iron Lung, Marvel/Thunderbolts, Star Wars and Top Gun.
Site screenshots with prices and FAQ/T&Cs below the cut for ease of access! But recommended to visit the site as I put a lot of work into it :)
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.Â
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, youâll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post â we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out â stay tuned!
Itâs very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, weâll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether youâre the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If youâd like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and weâll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
Saying âthis niche, properly tagged, warned, and rated piece of fiction could theoretically hurt someoneâ is not a good argument. This properly labeled cookie with the allergen information at the bottom that contains gluten could theoretically harm me very badly, but only if I consume it. Tags are like nutrition labels, and warnings are like allergy information. If you know you have an allergy to something, the logic is to stay away from it. It is the same with fiction. Iâm not running through stores yelling at people to take all the products with gluten off the shelves just because it could hurt me. Instead I ignore it and go to the gluten free section and find cookies that are right for me. And if running through a grocery store yelling sounds ridiculous, thatâs because it is. Stop doing the same with fiction.
And just like with food, what might be harmful for one person to consume could be quite *beneficial* for others. One manâs trigger is another manâs catharsis.
AND if you lack the maturity/self control/awareness to stop yourself from eating things that could potentially harm you, you either 1) are too young to be making your own food choices and should be supervised by a parent/other adult who is supposed to be responsible for you (and the store clerk who put the food on the shelf is NOT) or 2) need to take accountability for your own actions, because if you deliberately consumed something you knew could hurt you as a fully autonomous adult, then you really have no one to blame but yourself.
Iâd like to add that within AO3, âChoose Not To Use Archive Warningsâ is, in this food analogy, like the food labels that read âThis product was manufactured in a facility where [potential food allergens] are used in the production of some productsâ. Itâs not telling you theyâre in there, but even more importantly, itâs not telling you theyâre not. This is not the same as âNo Archive Warnings Applyâ which would be the certified [food allergen] free food. One guarantees a certain experience, the other has given you no promises as to what may or may not be included and is very much a consume-at-your-own-risk product.
very very humbly on my hands and knees for jake x male reader stuff⌠like anything to do with cuddles because a guy is touch starved and i cannot stop thinking about how good of hugs jake would giveđđđđ
Hi yes I have been thinking about this since I got the ask <3 he'd be the best, I just know he's a sweetheart deep down
--------------------
Shuddering out an angry breath through gritted teeth, you stormed into Jake's off-base apartment, not even bothering to pull your boots off or get changed before you fell face first into his bed. Jake had been sitting at his desk, filling out some leftover paperwork with headphones, somehow hearing the door slam shut through the acoustic rhythm of the country music playing in his ears. He knew you'd be the only person storming in here like you owned the place. You were over often enough that you practically lived here anyway. He spun around slowly in his chair to face you. You just knew he had that awfully fond look on his face, but it did nothing to quench the rage bubbling up inside you.
âYâalright there, mister?â There was humour in Jake's voice and you ignored the way it made the butterflies writhe in your gut.
âNo.â You grumbled into his pillow, breathing in his scent that was still clinging to the sheets.
âWhat happened?â Jake asked, you heard movement, then felt the bed dip as he sat down next to you.
âDon't wanna talk âbout it.â You pulled your arms up to cross them over above your head, hiding from further the world.
Then Jake's warm hand was on your middle back, smoothing down your flight suit in a painfully tender way. He ran his thumb down the center of your back, tracing the bumps in your spine through the fabric of your flight suit.
âAdmirals are assholesâŚâ you finally grumbled.
âOh, believe me, I know. What did Admiral Dickhead do this time?â His hand moved up your back to the base of your neck, his fingernails scraping pleasantly up your scalp through your cropped hair.
You made yourself take three long, deep, measured breaths.
You rolled over onto your side, Jake's hand moved with you until he was gently cupping your cheek, palm brushing at the five o'clock shadow you needed to shave.
âReprimanded me for somethin' that wasn't even my fault. Wouldn't hear me out about it and threatened to make it a permanent mark on my record if I kept âtalking backâ. Insubordination or somethingâŚâ
âYeah⌠that tracks unfortunately. He's a jerk.â Jake's hand smoothed down your neck and over your chest, finding purchase on your hip. âBut you're home now. Day's over. You can try to relax a bit.â
There was something about Jake calling his place âhomeâ that struck something inside you. This⌠thing, between you and Jake was still relatively new. Unlabelled and fragile, you didn't want to risk losing him but coming on too fast, yet here he was, saying you were home.
You rolled onto your back as Jake shifted, lifting himself up to straddle you. His hands held onto you just above your hips on your waist. He smiled down at you, that cocky smirk you desperately wanted to kiss off of his face. You almost hesitantly let your hands come to rest on his hairy thighs, his sleep shorts riding up slightly, your hands on his skin.
âWeren't you doinâ paperwork?â You scoffed.
âI was, but then something much more interesting stormed through my door. Figured I'd rather give him my full attention for a while.â Jake grinned, but then it became something much more sincere, much more gentle, âEspecially since he seems to be hurtinâ a bit.â
âI promise I'm fine. Just got pissed off a little. It happens.â You waved him off, but held tighter to his thighs, thumbs massaging the muscle.
Jake lowered himself, looping his arms around your neck and pressing his chest to yours until he was completely flush on top of you. His breath was hot against the side of your neck. He pressed his forehead against your temple. You ran a hand up his back and held onto the nape of his neck, keeping him there.
You just breathed for a while.
With a small sound to alert you gently, Jake pushed himself up.
âShoe's off, soldier, I think we deserve a nap.â Jake pushed your hair back, just watching you for a moment as you blinked up at him, suddenly feeling quite sleepy.
Jake helped you peel your boots off, freeing your aching feet from the confines of your woolen socks. He watched as you opted to strip your flight suit off, staying in just your dark t-shirt and boxers before crawling back into his bed.
He pulled you into his arms, tucking you under his chin. His fingers danced soothingly in your hair and under your shirt, fingernails tracing nonsense into your back.
âThank you, JakeâŚâ you breathed out into him, breathing in to inhale his fresh scent.
âNo problem, baby. I've gotchu.â
You wrapped your arms around his waist and pulled him closer, tangling your legs with his.
Despite the tumultuous rage you had felt entering the room, you now felt safe and calm and happy. Jake had a funny habit of making you feel like that. You pushed your hands up under his shirt and enjoyed the feeling of his warm sun kissed skin under your palms as you let the exhaustion and drowsiness from the day finally weigh down on you.

I don't do x reader stuff as often as I used to and I kinda missed it (and there's never enough male!reader content for us mlm guys) so send me some dagger/male!reader (or transmale!reader) prompts and I might drabble for it if it speaks to me <3
Please return us to a world where Notp and squick are used for a ship you donât like instead of just making up a load of bullshit about how immoral it is or w/e lolÂ
a short selection of concepts and phrases that used to be commonplace in fandom and weâd really benefit from making that a thing again:
NOTP: the opposite of an OTP (One True Pairing). It is a ship a fan strongly dislikes. The word is a portmanteau of ânoâ and âOTPâ and thus is not a contraction of any particular phrase.
Squick: anything that is a deep-seated, visceral turn-off. Squicks may be shared by many fans or be specific to one; one personâs kink may be another personâs squick.
YKINMKATO, or kink-tomato: Your Kink Is Not My Kink, And Thatâs Okay: used to indicate support for fannish diversity and to distinguish between disapproval or kink shaming and simply having different taste.
DLDR: Donât Like, Donât Read: a phrase used to warn against complaints about an aspect of fic or meta. A âlive and let liveâ philosophy of fandom, which places the responsability for avoiding content one doesnât want to see on the side of the fanwork consumer, rather that on the creatorâs.
SALS: Ship And Let Ship: similar to the above specifically about shipping tastes.
YMMV: Your Mileage May Vary: a phrase used to acknowledge that any given individualâs personal opinion on the topic at hand may differ due to their own tastes, standards, values, experiences, etc.
As the OP points out, all of these crucially imply no moral judgment of what theyâre designing.
(definitions lifted more or less wholesale from fanloreâs relevant pages)
No "show results", if you're not a fanfic writer just be patient.
I saw a post about an anon saying it was embarrasing to have an ao3 account in your 30s (it's absolutely not), so I want to do a poll and see what the age range actually is.
Something something that feeling of restlessness, that feeling of wanting to do so much but not knowing where/how to start, that feeling of wanting to get up and run until your legs give out but theres a barrier stopping you
I am once again dabbling in poetry. I've been thinking about strays and wolves/wolfdogs and fear aggression and relapsing and trying to let yourself be loved and hoping for a kind life that seems so alien to the one you used to live, unsure how to trust when you've only ever been faced with hate and pain. Exploring fear and vulnerability and wanting to change one's nature to soften those sharp edges and 'become' more loveable etc etc
I'm feeling a lot right now
[I am not looking for concrit, I have not written poetry in a very long time so I know it's rusty and janky, I am simply wanting to share]
People worrying if their fic is too self indulgent like....... that is the point of fanfiction. You are supposed to indulge . Every fic is self indulgent
The tool, called Nightshade, messes up training data in ways that could cause serious damage to image-generating AI models.Â
New anti-AI tool from the team developing Glaze that looks to poison prompts and ruin data sets entirely.
The tool can go so far as to trick AI into generating things it didn't ask for. 50 "poisoned" images of dogs into a data set yield typical errors companies have been working to get rid of: weird proportions, extra limbs, etc. When they added 300 samples, it was drastic enough to make a data set that was trained to generate "dogs" into "cats" making the tool basically useless.
It's not out yet, but they're adding it to Glaze and they intend on making it open source.
