sorry I’ve been MIA
What I usually do is I focus on a sensation such as tapping my fingers or how my water bottle feels and then after the set how different that item or action feels. Sometimes I just hum along to my music.

What are your top ten general workout tips?
focus on yourself and your journey into being the best version of yourself
the simpler the exercise the more effective It usually is
quality sleep over excessive hours of sleep
protein is your best friend- 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight
going to failure all the time is not good but understand the difference between true failure and pushing yourself hard
intensity is internal, focus on channeling your mind into your workout, be present
be honorable, rack your weights, be mind of movements and don't be afraid to make noise but again avoid the excess
its a marathon not a sprint. don't do PED or drugs unless you are aware of the choice
surround yourself with like minded people and be willing to learn and give back to others starting
have fun!

I would say focus on learning as much as you can from quality sources, and lastly remember to have fun! it sucks during the training session but afterwards when you see the results its addicting, hope this helps! reach out to me with more questions
I'm sure you've probably already been asked this but what's your routine? do you have different ones for weight lifting, vardio, flexibility? do you focus on those other stuff? what do you recommend people do to help themselves manage having aching muscles after getting into weightlifting? do you have any major food tips? how do you time manage so you can visit the gym often? how long are you at the gym at any given session? I've been doing pilates and focusing more on being healthy than being an aesthetic gym god, much better for you in the long run. Eat lots of protein and whole foods, and have fun! my gym sessions are usually around 2 hours. please message me more if there's anything I can do to help!!
