born as the second oldest daughter to nobility , ilayda’s life was full of love . her family had always been very close . however, it were her sisters she was the closest to and she’d dreamed of a life where she’d never leave their sides.
lessons were often missed, and ilayda and her older sister elif were quite a menace . instead of dutifully attending their lessons they preferred to explore places , always on the search for another hiding spot where they’d often tell each other stories and play them out . if it wasn’t for their parents hiring more people to keep an eye on them, it would’ve become a habit .
whenever they managed to escape, her sister would bring a new story and her and ilayda with their youngest sister would play it out. there was nothing that brought her more joy than them pretending to be a little group of actresses, pretending that they could live any life if they wanted.
as naive as it was, ilayda had thought that this would last forever. elif would forever continue writing her stories and they’d watch plays together and maybe one day and as impossible as it sounded , ilayda’s dream of becoming an actress would become true . it was only until elif was engaged to a wealthy man who promised her a future that ilayda came to realize that the present could so easily slip away , only leaving a past she’d forever cling to .
when her sister left their home, she’d promised that she’d write her everyday and at first she kept her promise . however, these letters became less and it’s content more superficial and one day she’d find herself writing letters only to be met with silence.
of course, ilayda knew that her sister would never break a promise and she began to look for answers , however, month had to pass until she got to know the truth . her sister had passed in an accident. she supposedly fell when she was in an argument with her husband . yet, the way her husband and his family reacted when she’d talk about it was too odd that her sister’s death could only be called an argument .
still, she had no choice but to move on , blaming herself that she trusted a stranger to take care of her sister . with time she became more protective over her younger sister and her wish to remain within her family to protect them would only remain .

despite knowing that it is impossible for a lady of her status to ever become an actress, she still clings to that dream. sometimes she’d sneak out, taking roles in small and unknown theatres to work towards her dream.
although, originally from turkey, her family have lived in england for many generations . they’ve become a well–respected family and have managed to avoid any scandal.
as a child she was taught to play multiple instruments but to be frank, she’s not really good at any of them . if she’s asked to play something on the piano, she always chooses a very simple piece.
she does have a gift for pottery and ceramics, her painting skills on the other hand are mediocre
since her sister’s death, she’d become obsessed with the idea to prove that her husband and his family are responsible for her sister’s passing
