When you suddenly realize that life isn’t a race, and your journey is completely unique, that you don’t have to look like Kate Moss or think like Steve Jobs. You don’t have to be anyone but YOU. That’s exactly how I see Ashish’s new collection. Thank you for such an inspiring and powerful work.

I think every girl has this one type of guy she is looking for, and one type of dress she's secretly been saving for her future wedding. For me, it’s Carrie Bradshaw’s wedding dress by Vivienne Westwood. Gorgeous. Unforgettable. Timeless. Just like Carrie herself. This masterpiece is, without a doubt, in the list of my favorite 30 couture creations of all time. Bravo, Vivienne Westwood!

There is something almost holy in this ritual we call "girls' night out."
The sudden 9:30pm “I’m bored, girls. Let’s go out!” message in the group chat creates instant chaos. Within an hour, you're all crammed into one apartment, getting ready for that new bar everyone’s been talking about.
You're looking gorgeous, chic heels that start to hurt the second you leave the apartment (but you’ll never admit it), lipstick sticking to your hair, a smell of different perfumes flying in the air.
You’re walking the hallway like it’s a runway, because the moment heels go on, so does the strut. The energy is electric, contagious, so powerful that even the bartender starts sweating a little, cracking awkward jokes just to keep up with the vibe.
It’s more than a night out.
It’s therapy.
It’s ritual.
It’s a reminder that every woman in the room is a goddess, and tonight, she knows it.
If perfection could speak, it would take Anok Yai’s body and craft the ultimate corset gown. I’m talking about the crystalline gown by Oscar de la Renta (Spring 2022) that she wore to the Met Gala 2021. In her interview with Harper’s Bazaar’s Fashion Flashback, she said:
“The original dress was supposed to be a turtleneck, long‑sleeve, high‑low dress that was quite loose. Fernando wanted it to look like I got on the carpet and kind of ripped my dress and just went straight. But I was really inspired by Josephine Baker and the flapper era. So I went back to the atelier and told them to cut the sleeves, cut the turtleneck, make it a low V cut, put a corset in, put a slit in, and add the shawl. The jewelry and the beading work are so intricate that when you’re doing that many changes, it takes a lot of time. And I think we did it like a week before.”
It’s the kind of iconic moment in fashion where everything aligns: the designer, the muse, the inspiration, and the craftsmanship.

Mondays are tough.
Today it felt stronger than ever. The problem isn’t that I don’t like to work, I love work. I honestly believe it’s the only thing keeping humanity from sinking into laziness. Work is a good thing; I’m glad they invented it.
The real problem is that I have too many things I want to do. Too many interests, activities, and hobbies. Work distracts me from all the amazing things I’m missing on a daily basis.
Last night, I stayed up until 2 a.m., maybe later, doing my favorite thing - sewing. I love to make completely extravagant couture pieces, the kind of things you’d only wear to a Gala red carpet event. Of course, I have nowhere to wear them. But I don’t care.
So I woke up this morning completely annoyed by the flood of emails, slack messages, and meetings. I just wanted to ignore them all, go to the park, do my Insanity workout, swim in the pool, then come home, cook a beautiful healthy meal, sip green tea, draw for a bit, and sew something incredible. Maybe take a photo of it, sell it to Dua Lipa, quit my job, and spend my life doing art, fashion, pilates, ballet, and learning history.
But guess what? I’m a responsible person.
Seeing messages and not replying? I can maybe hold off for 30 minutes - tops. Then I start responding. My fingers type the replies automatically. It’s like muscle memory, once you've done it enough, it just happens.
And so... work goes on. Life goes on.
Maybe that’s what makes life so sweet, the feeling of missing something while working on something else. That tension between all the selves inside me.
Because the truth is, we can hold so many versions of ourselves inside one body.
And maybe I’m not restless or lost.
Maybe I’m just rich in desire.
The Dragon Corset made by Julien Dossena Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2023-2024 collection. Absolute stunning piece of art!
Today I learned something humbling:
No matter how fit or flexible I thought I was - in ballet training, I failed miserably.
I’ve always admired ballerinas - so ethereal, moving like swans, floating with strength and elegance. I wanted to be like them too. That was my dream.
Then suddenly, I thought: “When? If not now?”
Am I waiting to become younger? Waiting for some miraculous opportunity where someone just shows up and offers to train me into a ballerina?
After a long internal argument and finally agreeing with myself that the time is now, I decided to go for it.
I immediately (and luckily for me!) found a ballet class through an Instagram ad and signed up.
And guess what?
I sucked.
Gloriously. Graciously. Completely.
The most embarrassing part?
It wasn’t even a real ballet training, it was an adult beginner class. You know, the “make your childhood dream come true” kind of program.
But somehow, I survived the first class.
And I loved it.
I’m definitely going back. Again. And again.
Because I want to feel ballet not just in my muscles, but in my bones.
I want to sweat through torn clothes, to ache in places I didn’t know existed, and to suffer beautifully until one day I give birth to the white swan living inside me.
Excellence is born in pain.
And I’m ready for it. 🩰🦢🔥
When I grow up. I will become a woman with a MacBook (if Carrie Bradshaw doesn't work out).
