Clockwork poked his head in, just curious to see who was in the breakroom. As they glanced around, he noticed Sorcus. Bingo! He pulled up a seat beside him.
"Hey Sorc, whatcha workin' on?"
He peeked at the papers in Sorcus' hand.
"Organizing obituaries." -> He stated flatly, not looking up as the other admin approached and sat beside him. He hummed, adjusting his glasses. "Recent deaths. Have you been faring well, Clockwork?"
"Ah.. I see."
They gazed around the room for a bit and looked back at the other admin.
"Yeah, just been a busy couple of days I'd say. How've you been then?"
"I've been well. Not much bothers me." -> He glanced up at the other admin, his lighting bolt-shaped tail relaxing atop one of his thighs. "Has work been going smoothly for you? Your role in HQ is quite important given your temporal abilities."
"Just a few mishaps here and there but other than that, all is well really.
He leaned back in the chair, stretching before relaxing, almost melting into the chair
"Anything new happening with you?"

"Had to clean up one of Telamon's little... "Messes". Or what he considers to be a mess. Wasn't hard work, although it did delay some of my actual work." -> He adjusts his fedora, setting his papers aside for the time being. He looked at the other admin, wanting to be polite and give the other his full attention. "Mishaps happen every now and then. At least it didn't cause you too much trouble."
"Oh goodness.. What'd Telamon do this time? Atleast it didn't really affect your work too bad."
They immediately sat up straight when they noticed Sorcus looking at him. His fingers fidgeted carefully with a loose string on his scarf.
"I suppose it's natural however, it does tend to worsen more around the holidays, so I've noticed."
"The ghostwalker unlashed a couple of souls that I had brought to their proper resting place. And of course, he didn't know how to deal with it. So I'm pulled away from my duties to clean up his mess." -> Sorcus never really emoted, his facial and body expressions just being... Blank. But one could assume he's not very pleased with what happened. "Holidays are chaos in general. I don't really celebrate them much myself."
"That must've been a bit frustrating, atleast you got it all cleaned up in no time!"
He reached out and pat Sorcus on the shoulder softly, he'd always wondered why Sorcus was like a blank page. Of course, he didn't pry nor ask questions about it.
"Really? Not even Christmas or the likes?"
"It was. But my work was swift. Most spirits aren't too keen on being pulled out of their resting places without good reason." -> He clears his throat a little. "I do not personally celebrate the holidays when I'm alone. I suppose I'll join in the festivities if someone invites me. But I'm usually too busy to celebrate."
"I suppose they weren't too happy with Telamon after that then?"
He hums in thought, glancing down at the floor before looking back at Sorcus.
"Well.. Is there anything you'd want this christmas? I'd be willing to get ya somethin' even if you'd be too busy to celebrate it."
-> He sat there for a moment at the other's question. He never really considered what he actually wanted, just accepting gifts from others and thanking them. He's a simple man. "I'm a simple man." "I'm more than happy to accept gifts from others no matter what it is. It's the thought that matters to me."
"Oh fair enough, I'll try think of something for you! But really, if you do want anything you tell me okay?"
They smile softly, already starting to think what to get for him. He wasn't too good at choosing out gifts but he always tries.
-> He hummed and looked down at the thing of obituaries he was organizing earlier. "You're too kind sometimes, Clockwork." "But really, I would be grateful for whatever you feel would be a good gift for someone like me."
"I see.. Alright then!" He leaned back in the chair once more and resting his hands in his lap, feeling a bit more relaxed. The talk of holidays and such always put them at ease.
"Even if I don't celebrate the holidays myself, I do find it nice to watch others celebrate the holidays. I enjoy seeing others happy. -> He leaned back as well, his expression as blank as ever as he spoke. "I've seen how excited you and Tarabyte get at those little Christmas parties that HQ holds."
"Y-You've noticed?"
That caught him off guard a bit, he never really expected anyone to notice how excited he gets. They cleared their throat a little and spoke once more
"You should join in Sorcus, it's real fun! Definetly more fun than watching others enjoy the party."
"I am ever observant." -> He states calmly, picking up the obituaries and going back to organizing them, deciding to reorganize them again. He's careful with his work, not wanting anything out of order. "And I suppose I could, yes." "I guess I never really saw a reason to since I don't usually celebrate the holidays."
"Huh.. I see."
They mumbled and watched the other go back to sorting the papers again. After a bit, they glance around the breakroom just to look around.
"Will you celebrate it this year then? Even if you just give it a go I'm sure it won't be too bad, It is basically a break from work after all."
He chuckles lightly, crossing his arms over his mechanical stomach loosely.
-> He paused his work and stared ahead, a small huff escaping him as he went back to what he was doing. Did he almost laugh??
"I suppose you have convinced me to join in the festivities. I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a break from work."
"While actively being inside of the workplace. Ironic, really."
"Yes! You won't regret this, I promise you!"
They excitedly swished his tail and clasped his hands together tightly. Taking a deep breath to calm themselves a bit, he spoke again after a bit.
"I suppose it is ironic yeah, but I would rather be doing anything but paperwork all day!"
-> 'Cute', is what he thought but didn't verbalize it. He'd keep those thoughts to himself for now. "I'm taking your word for it." "I'll be able to tell you "I told you so" if I find myself having a horrid experience at the HQ Christmas party." -> He joked, his tone as flat as ever. Sorcus didn't really joke, being more of the physical jokester type. But sometimes he could drop a verbal one here and there.
"I guarentee that the party will be absolutely fun, I will be making sure of it!"
He grins at Sorcus' small joke even if wasn't too funny, he enjoyed any sort of joke in the rare occasion that Sorcus verbally said.
"There's not a chance you'll be telling me 'I told you so', mark my words!"
"I'm trusting you. Don't make me feel immense amounts of disappointment." "Well, you wouldn't really be able to tell if I was disappointed, would you? I don't express myself much." -> He allows himself to relax a little, his shoulders slumping slightly while he leaned into the couch.
"I won't, swear on my soul!"
They hum quietly, pushing their sunglasses into place
"Huh.. I guess I didn't take that into consideration. Surely you'll tell me if anything though right?"
"I'll tell you, no need to worry." -> Another small huff escaped from him, his shoulders bouncing slightly. Oh! He almost laughed! That's new for the admin of death! "Do we know if the celebration is happening this Christmas Eve or on actual Christmas? I remember the last time we celebrated it on Christmas Eve."
"I.. think it's on Christmas Eve? Don't take my word for it, I'd have to ask Builderman or someone else about it."
Wait a minute- Did he see that right? Did Sorcus really almost just laugh..? They couldn't believe it, they stared at Sorcus for a good moment.
"Do my eyes deceive me? Did I just see you nearly laugh?"
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. I don't laugh much." -> He couldn't stop the VERY small smile that appeared on his lips before he returned back to his usual blank expression, the one he always wore around. "Maybe you'll be the first one to make me laugh." "Quite the accomplishment if you do."
"Oh come on, I SWEAR I heard a huff from you!"
He moves just an inch closer beside Sorcus, trying to read his blank expression even if they find nothing.
"I'll make you laugh someday, mark my words."
"Well since you've got me here. I would love to see you try and make me laugh." -> He takes off his fedora, setting it on his lap and smoothing down his hair before setting his hands on his lap, interlocking his fingers and waiting for the other. "People say you're funny. Show me how you make others laugh."
"Oh- Uuhhh.. If ya say so."
They were certainly was not prepared for this, hell he didn't even know anyone found him funny. How on Robloxia was he meant to make Sorcus of all people laugh?!
He sat in silence for a moment, feeling put on the spot. After a while, they spoke up.
"Why did.. the blind man fall into the well?"
"Unsure." -> He leaned forward, resting his elbow against his leg and putting his head into his palm, staring up at the other admin. "Tell me, why did the blind man fall into the well?"
"He couldn't see that well!"
He holds back a small chuckle at his own joke and tries to see Sorcus' reaction.
-> He sat there for a moment before leaning forward, putting his fist over his mouth as he snorted loudly, letting out a small chuckle afterwards. He laughed! "That was..." "The corniest joke I believe I've ever heard. I loved it."
Their smile became a bit wider and couldn't help but laugh a tad bit too. He actually did it, he made Sorcus laugh with such a corny joke too!
"Seriously? I- I'm suprised you actually laughed at that!"
"Corny jokes are the best." -> He waved his hand a little in front of his face, trying to get himself to settle back into that blank, neutral expression he usually always wore. "I love corny jokes. Really, I do. How did you know?"
"You seem like the kind of person to love a good corny joke!"
They sit up slightly in their chair and stare at the other, their gaze lingering on Sorcus' face for a bit longer than needed. He spoke up after a short while.
"Though, if I'm being completely honest, you put me on the spot and I said the first joke that came to mind."
"And you worked well under the pressure." -> He pointed out with a vague hand gesture, sitting himself up a little more as well. Oh! His little lightning bolt tail was wagging... "One of the incredibly few Robloxians who's been able to make me laugh. I'm usually very... Stone-faced, as one would say."
"You certainly are stone-faced most of the time but it's not a bad thing! Well, atleast I don't think so?"
"Anyways, I'm actually really suprised that made you laugh. I'm curious however.. Who else managed the feat of making you laugh?
He rests his elbows on the table and rests his chin in the palm of his hand. Mimicking Sorcus' action, his own tail began wagging but at a slow pace.
"Shedletsky." -> Well... That kind of makes sense. Shedletsky seems to know how to make anyone laugh by all means! No one seems to be immune to the funny owl man. "Polarity did once. Although it was... Unintentional."
"Shedletsky, fair enough. He knows how to make anyone laugh."
His expression shifted to slight curiousity, he sat up and paid full attention to Sorcus now.
"But Polarity? Now THAT'S interesting, what'd he do?"
"Polarity..." -> He paused, trying to figure out how to put the situation he found the other admin in in a much lighter sense. "Let's just say he was "caught in the act" and I couldn't stop myself from chuckling a little at his embarrassment."
"Oh my gosh?"
He slapped his hand over his mouth as they couldn't help but laugh slightly at the thought of it.
"There's- There's no way!"
"There was a way, yes."
"And I can tell you for sure that he was quite embarrassed once he realized I had seen him."
"Poor guy, truly."
"I can only imagine.."
"Honestly, thinking about it gives ME second-hand embarrassment."
"It would give anyone second-hand embarrassment if you asked me." -> He couldn't stop a small snort of amusement from leaving his mouth, the admin of death seeming a lot more... Relaxed than he usually was! At least his body language seemed relaxed... "At least it wasn't his brother who saw him."
"I'm grateful it wasn't his brother. That would've been.. mortifying."
He shook his head and rested it in his hands. The second-hand embarrassment was eating him up, even if they did find what happened quite amusing. They glanced at the other.
"For Polarity, yes. We all know how Joshua acts to things. I believe he sometimes overreactions a little. But that could just be me. To each their own, I suppose." "If I may be honest with you, I'm quite happy I wasn't born with a sibling. I don't think they'd much enjoy my presence." -> He does some vague little hand gesture while speaking. "Not really the personable type."
"Eehh.. You're right. Joshua can overreact sometimes, but it's mostly unecessary though. Like that one time on the forums about the whole riddling skull thing."
They slightly tilt their head to the side, moving his hands to rest on his lap once more.
"Really? I guess I understand it in some way, but most siblings tend to become really close despite their differences sometime, do they not?"
"That was... A whole event from him, yes." -> He snorted ever so slightly at the memory. He wasn't involved, not in the slightest, but word gets around quickly in somewhere like HQ! Sorcus knew the whole thing as if he was there. "Yes, they do." "I just can't see any sibling getting along with me I suppose. I think I'd freak them out with how I act."
"I still remember it clear as day!"
They grin softly, moderating the forums that day was pretty interesting and quite amusing to be fair.
"What would freak them out? You seem.. pretty regular, just stone-faced most the time. And even then you're a pretty interesting person."

"People have always told me that I'm unsettling." -> He states casually with a wave of his hand, glancing up at the other admin. The other's little statement on him being interested made his tail twitch. "Even as a child some people considered me unsettling. Unusual, even. I didn't really mind tho. They felt a sense of pity, no child should be considered unusual nor unsettling. It made Clockwork feel a tad bit upset that Sorcus is just used to it.
"Oh Sorcus.. You shouldn't have been used to being called that."
"It is what it is." "I would have agree I was... An unusual child. I was fascinated with death, collected bones from animal corpses... I was a massive nerd as well, but that's besides the point." -> He snorted slightly, shaking his head. "It doesn't bother me anymore. I suppose it only made sense I would've ended up being the admin of death, Robloxia's grim reaper."
"You do have a point there I suppose but, still.."
He lets out a small sigh, then he froze for a second or two.. Sorcus was a nerd? Oh they had to hear more! They perked up quite fast.
"Hold up.. you were a massive nerd? You've got me curious now, what were you nerdy for apart from like death and such?
"I was." "And still am honestly." -> He took off his little fedora, placing it within his lap as he spoke. "Software engineering, product development and management. But if you're asking about my nerdiness outside of work? I tend to play games like Dota, Heroes of Magic and Might and I've taken up a hobby of writing fantasy novels."
"That's.." Cute? Endearing? His mind was muddled, he never knew the other was such a nerd and hearing about it made his metal heart beat just a bit faster and his tail wag more. Just play it cool, Clockwork.
"Cool. I have heard of those games, they seem quite interesting. Have you finished any of the novels?"
"I've finished a couple, yes." "I usually ask Tarabyte to read them over for me and make sure it sounds good. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I suppose. I just want to make sure my writings good, you know?" -> He felt a little embarrassed about mentioning his love of writing fantasy novels, but he wasn't ashamed of it either.
"Yeah, I get that. There's never any harm in letting someone else check over your writing, I'm sure your writing is just perfect as is though."
They lean back in their chair, stretching themselves out. He isn't exactly a big fan of sitting for a good while. He finishes quickly and sits normally again.
"Maybe.. one day could I read one? Obviously no pressure, it just sounds very interesting to me."
"Tarabyte suggested I post them online. I think they'd be relatively easy to find. I could send you one personally if you'd like for me to. I have no shame in showing them off." -> Even tho some of them were written during his younger years. Ones he... Would be a little embarrassed about! "I tend to dive into more horror fantasy as well. Suppose it's s product of being destined to be in my position."
"I'd love that! I always enjoy reading any sort of novels, especially Dusekkar's. He has the best ones for sure."

"Me and Dusekkar have shared novels before in the past. He dabbles in fantasy as well, but he seems to go more... "I remember being a little younger when I first started writing. I suppose I had a passion for it." "I'd sometimes write between my studies or over little breaks. Just... Whenever I had some free time, I suppose. It was a passion of mine. And a stress reliever as well."
"How old were you when you started writing?"

"And.. how many do you think you wrote or like properlly finished?"
"I was decently young. If I wasn't doing my studies for school or playing little games here and there, I would be sitting up in my room or in the living room and practicing my writing." "My parents weren't thrilled I was so involved with the horror scene at such a young age, but I wasn't a dumb child either. I knew when something was too much for me." "Not many I'd say, maybe about seven to eight. Novels tend to take a long while to write, my progress on stories definitely slowed once I was employed at HQ."

"Just a few mishaps here and there but other than that, all is well really.

"Yeah, just been a busy couple of days I'd say. How've you been then?"

"Yeah, just been a busy couple of days I'd say. How've you been then?"
"I've been well. Not much bothers me." -> He glanced up at the other admin, his lighting bolt-shaped tail relaxing atop one of his thighs. "Has work been going smoothly for you? Your role in HQ is quite important given your temporal abilities."
"Just a few mishaps here and there but other than that, all is well really.

They grin softly, moderating the forums that day was pretty interesting and quite amusing to be fair.

They felt a sense of pity, no child should be considered unusual nor unsettling. It made Clockwork feel a tad bit upset that Sorcus is just used to it.

"It is what it is." "I would have agree I was... An unusual child. I was fascinated with death, collected bones from animal corpses... Clockwork poked his head in, just curious to see who was in the breakroom. As they glanced around, he noticed Sorcus. Bingo! He pulled up a seat beside him.

He peeked at the papers in Sorcus' hand.
"Organizing obituaries." -> He stated flatly, not looking up as the other admin approached and sat beside him. He hummed, adjusting his glasses. "Recent deaths. Have you been faring well, Clockwork?"
"Ah.. I see."
They gazed around the room for a bit and looked back at the other admin.
"Yeah, just been a busy couple of days I'd say. How've you been then?"
"I've been well. Not much bothers me." -> He glanced up at the other admin, his lighting bolt-shaped tail relaxing atop one of his thighs. "Has work been going smoothly for you? Your role in HQ is quite important given your temporal abilities."
"Just a few mishaps here and there but other than that, all is well really.
He leaned back in the chair, stretching before relaxing, almost melting into the chair

But one could assume he's not very pleased with what happened. "Holidays are chaos in general. I don't really celebrate them much myself."

"I do not personally celebrate the holidays when I'm alone. I suppose I'll join in the festivities if someone invites me. But I'm usually too busy to celebrate."

He hums in thought, glancing down at the floor before looking back at Sorcus.
"Well.. Is there anything you'd want this christmas? I'd be willing to get ya somethin' even if you'd be too busy to celebrate it."

"Will you celebrate it this year then? Even if you just give it a go I'm sure it won't be too bad, It is basically a break from work after all."

"Corny jokes are the best." -> He waved his hand a little in front of his face, trying to get himself to settle back into that blank, neutral expression he usually always wore. "I love corny jokes. Really, I do. How did you know?"
"You seem like the kind of person to love a good corny joke!"
They sit up slightly in their chair and stare at the other, their gaze lingering on Sorcus' face for a bit longer than needed. He spoke up after a short while.
"Though, if I'm being completely honest, you put me on the spot and I said the first joke that came to mind."
"And you worked well under the pressure." -> He pointed out with a vague hand gesture, sitting himself up a little more as well. Oh! His little lightning bolt tail was wagging... "One of the incredibly few Robloxians who's been able to make me laugh. I'm usually very... Stone-faced, as one would say."
"You certainly are stone-faced most of the time but it's not a bad thing! Well, atleast I don't think so?"
"Anyways, I'm actually really suprised that made you laugh. I'm curious however.. Who else managed the feat of making you laugh?
He rests his elbows on the table and rests his chin in the palm of his hand. Mimicking Sorcus' action, his own tail began wagging but at a slow pace.
"Shedletsky." -> Well... That kind of makes sense. Shedletsky seems to know how to make anyone laugh by all means! No one seems to be immune to the funny owl man. "Polarity did once. Although it was... Unintentional."
"Shedletsky, fair enough. He knows how to make anyone laugh."
His expression shifted to slight curiousity, he sat up and paid full attention to Sorcus now.
"But Polarity? Now THAT'S interesting, what'd he do?"
"Polarity..." -> He paused, trying to figure out how to put the situation he found the other admin in in a much lighter sense. "Let's just say he was "caught in the act" and I couldn't stop myself from chuckling a little at his embarrassment."
"Oh my gosh?"
He slapped his hand over his mouth as they couldn't help but laugh slightly at the thought of it.
"There's- There's no way!"
"There was a way, yes."
"And I can tell you for sure that he was quite embarrassed once he realized I had seen him."
"Poor guy, truly."
"I can only imagine.."
"Honestly, thinking about it gives ME second-hand embarrassment."
"It would give anyone second-hand embarrassment if you asked me." -> He couldn't stop a small snort of amusement from leaving his mouth, the admin of death seeming a lot more... Relaxed than he usually was! At least his body language seemed relaxed... "At least it wasn't his brother who saw him."
"I'm grateful it wasn't his brother. That would've been.. mortifying."
He shook his head and rested it in his hands. The second-hand embarrassment was eating him up, even if they did find what happened quite amusing. They glanced at the other.
"For Polarity, yes. We all know how Joshua acts to things. I believe he sometimes overreactions a little. But that could just be me. To each their own, I suppose." "If I may be honest with you, I'm quite happy I wasn't born with a sibling. I don't think they'd much enjoy my presence." -> He does some vague little hand gesture while speaking. "Not really the personable type."
"Eehh.. You're right. Joshua can overreact sometimes, but it's mostly unecessary though. Like that one time on the forums about the whole riddling skull thing."
They slightly tilt their head to the side, moving his hands to rest on his lap once more.
"Really? I guess I understand it in some way, but most siblings tend to become really close despite their differences sometime, do they not?"
"That was... A whole event from him, yes." -> He snorted ever so slightly at the memory. He wasn't involved, not in the slightest, but word gets around quickly in somewhere like HQ! Sorcus knew the whole thing as if he was there. "Yes, they do." "I just can't see any sibling getting along with me I suppose. I think I'd freak them out with how I act."
