How many Splatter Platter issues are you planning on publishing?

All three books are going to be roughly 250 pages collected. Book one is going to be 5 issues total, book two will be 12 (formatted more like standard 21 page comic) and book three will likely be 5 as well

I saw thta elenore developed her paraphila bc of the death of her cat (in her ref sheet i think). Ik her paraphilia has smth to do with death, gore, blood, and such but idk.. the cat aspect made me feel a bit weird I guess? Cause animal....

If you’re asking if her paraphilia has to do with animals it doesn’t. It didn’t develop because her cat guru died , But Most people’s understanding of death , especially in western societies is very warped and one dimensional, so when a person inevitably experiences grief for the first time it can be a jarring experience . I can’t speak for all people , but in Elenore’s case, the grief she experiences throughout her life manifests as an infatuation with death. Most people who are necrophiles don’t just wake up one day and decide they’re attracted to corpses. I think a lot of examples start out just the same, as a curiosity or infatuation with death itself as a concept. Her interest in roadkill and taxidermy is how she copes with her cat being killed, she sees it as “saving them”, but it is not sexual in any way shape or form.

Her interest in gore and her paraphilic tendencies originally starts out as a repulsion , and eventually just becomes something she impulsively looks at and becomes attracted to. It doesn’t help that Mr morgue encourages her to look at more and more disturbing shit at an increasing rate which just pushes her over the edge

And— dare I point out the obvious— the policing of these public areas historically was and still is a huge element of police brutality and discrimination against gay people. Undercover cops frequently patrol areas that are known cruising spots and initiate with men so they can make an arrest when the guy reciprocates. They will also arrest men who are seen looking at each other over the urinals in these spots. Or for peeing while wearing a rainbow wristband.
